Default Actos + met

I just started taking Actos + met this month. I have taken Glucophage since 1997. I had the initial stomach issues with Glucophage so I was expecting some side effects. I take 15mg/500mg 2 pills twice daily right now. Everytime I take them I get nauseous. Is this something that is going to go away after a while? Am I going to get used to it? That is really the only one of the side effects that I am experiencing.

Can someone give me some insight? Thanks!

I started on Met and had no problems. Then was switched to Met XR and ended up in the hospital. I took myself off all drugs shortly thereafter. The reason I'm mentioning this is because you can develop a sensitivity to a drug after being on it for a while. It doesn't have to be an initial reaction. So you have to ask yourself, "Is the problem the Met or the Actos"?

I've been on Actos since 2003. I haven't had any problems with it that I can pin down to the drug. Sometimes, I get a little burning in my stomach if I take it first thing in the a.m. before eating. I take 15 mg. each day.

I'd contact the doctor if you're having umcomfortable reactions. Maybe you need to take your meds separate from each other. Are you taking 15 mg. 2 x/day or just taking 15 mg. each day of Actos?

I've felt just a little nasceous two different times with met. Once I threw up and thought I was getting the flu. I find that as long as I'm eating healthy food and following an IR diet I'm great. It's when I got out to eat and eat something really unhealthy (fatty, deep fried, or creamy and thick) that I feel a little nasceous. HOpe this helps.
