I have read they are similar in side effect. I took Avandia and had swelling in my legs and feet but may return to it and take less. I didn't gain weight on it either. I think most of us worry about that one. I did feel I retained fluid at times but I do that on bc pills as well. I felt wonderful on the Avandia. I started it while on the pill then dropped the pill 2 weeks later. AF came 30 days after right on schedule. Something that never ever happens.
