I have an appointment at a Sheffield clinic this week coming. They offer Aculight hair removal treatment at a 50% discount if you can provide a letter stating that you have PCOS. The consultation is free, the patch test is £20 and then it costs £24 for each session after that, so half price will be very welcome. What has annoyed me though, is that my doctor will charge me £9 for the letter. I am fuming that he is charging me for this. I am unable to take Dianette (caused high blood pressure) which, when I was on it 10 years ago worked for me (although I didn't realise it at the time). You cannot get hair removal treatment on the NHS unless you can prove that you are being seriously psychologically affected, and I think the medical profession is out of order charging for a letter!!
Anyway........ whinge over ;0) I shall have my appointment and with any luck, in a period of time I will no longer have to de-fuzz my face on a daily basis. I'll keep you all posted :0))

Went for my first Aculight appointment yesterday and had to make an appointment for 6 weeks time. I have a tan and you cannot have any treatments whilst your skin colour is anything other than au naturel.......... typical lol
I visited the Dore health and Beauty Clinic in Sheffield, and initially my first impressions are very good. The team are very professional and very personable.
