For the ladies that are doing acupuncture, how often do you go for treatment? I want to start going back, but I'll be seeing a new doctor this time around and even though the treatments are that expensive, we're living frugally to pay for our IVF cycle next year.

I'm about to go back to acupuncture for the first time in a year....seeing a new acupuncturist this time too. When I first went, it was weekly for awhile, then bi-weekly...things seemed to work better when I went weekly though. I've got some coverage through work but at $80 bucks a pop I'm going to go through that quickly! I am curious to see how often the new acu says I should be going.

So it's looking like I'll be going once a week...will be worth it though, if it ends up helping with the side effects of Clomid and (even better) getting pregnant! The Dr. I saw today was very nice and really seemed to know what he was talking about.
Has anyone heard anything about using Chinese Herbs? Any contraindications with Clomid?

I've been going to acupuncture for about 8 months. I go every week. Never missed a session. DH and I have been through 2 IUI's both BFN. But, My cycles have returned to normal and last month I ovulated for the first time on my own. I enjoy going every week. I always feel relaxed and clam when my session is over. Though I believe that if I continued to go weekly I would eventually get pregnant without meds, but if we aren't pregnant this cycle we will be going back to our RE for another IUI next cycle. We're closing in on 4 years and we're getting desperate. I will continue my weekly sessions through pregnancy however. I really do believe in it.

I feel the same after a treatment, very relaxed and calm. Although today he put a needle in each of my hands and my left hand is kind of tender now....but my energy level and mood tonight has been great!
Congrats on ovulating naturally, it must be a great feeling! I hope you don`t have to go back to IUI`s but maybe if you do the acupuncture will help in combination with it. Good luck to you!
