Just wondering if anyone knew of any complications with Acupuncture and Fertility treatements?
I am currently doing fertility treatements with fertility drugs which are being monitored by a Dr. and would like to introduce Acupunture to help me relax and be more open to the medication.
Thanks cysters! Hoping to hear from some of you soon...
While I was doing accupuncture, my healer told me that he also does work with women that are doing conventional treatment, fo exactly the reasons you mentioned.
Even my accupunturist mentioned that you can go ahead with the conventional treatment along with accupunture.I would surely recommend it to anyone battling infertility....i just had two sessions and i do feel so much relaxed and less stresssed out.
Well. it depends on how sensitive you are...when they insert a needle it just feels like a mosquito bite and within a few seconds you don't feel anything...certainly not painful..
I have gone to accupuncture for three weeks now it has helped me instantly with the side effects of Metformin and now I don't have all the terrible tummy problems which believe me hurt WAAY worse than the acupuncture.
She treats me for water imbalance and the tummy pain. I figure that she attributes the problems to my digestional tract since the medicine I am taking seems to cause me to dehydrate and also plugs up my ears.
so I recommend it. I get 3 needles in my ears, tummy, and ankle as well as 2 in the joint of my knee and this time, as it was close to the time of my cycle I guess, I got an extra three needles a little lower over my reproductive organs. The only ones that hurt are the ones in the ears--but not much.
Your responses have convinced me of trying it.....I really need to learn how to relax, I really think that this is the reason why I am not conceiving.
I have my assessment set for May 10/2003 which is 1.5 hrs long and includes initial treatement. My Acupuncturist, is of Oriental descent and has trained in China.
I would certainly ask you to go ahead.I just had 3 sessions of accupunture and i really feel so much relaxed.Taking this treatment is the best decsion that I have made in a long time.It is so relaxing and you can actually feel the energy flowing through your body.I would recommend it to anybody!!!!
I've been having acupuncture since January. I actually O'd last cycle with no meds! (Never happens for me. My last O was Jan 2001 and the one before that was probably 6 years ago.)
I'm probably going to start on conventional treatment soon, but I'll continue having acupuncture then too. I'm probably going to continue in pregnancy too, but not so often (once a week now).
Mine is supposed to be £25 per session. As I go weekly and she wanted me to have some herbs as well, she cut my price to £20 per session, and then I add on whatever (if any) herbs she wants me to take too. Lately it's been prepared herb pills, so £8/week for those.
