I am wondering if anyone has or know of any one that has had experience of adopting from the US but they live in Canada?
A little backgroud, I am from the US and my husband Canada, once we got married we decided to stay in Canada because of his job. We have tried very hard to have children and we have had several miscarriages. We have always known that we would try to have a baby and we would adpot. I have always wanted to adopt.
Fast forward until today, I was informed by a very dear friend of mine that her neice is going to have her 4th baby at the age of 19 and she hasn't kept any of them, she has chosen to give them all up for adoption to wonderful parents. She has spoken to her neice about us and her neice has decided that she wants us to adopt the baby. My husband and I are over the clouds right now. Plus my parents that live in the states are so excited they can't stand it.
So now we need to know how to get the process going. So if anyone has ever adopted from the states but live in Canada please HELP or if you know of someone that has please help me find information about the process. I would be forever grateful

My advice would be to contact an attorney that deals with adoption. They should be able to tell you how to proceed.
Good luck. Adoption is a difficult road, but ultimately the rewards are great.
