Is anybody else running into the agencies, facillitators, & adoption web businesses kind of controlling most of the adoption groups & message boards? Except for this one of course! LOL I was on the adoption.com board and got my post removed for mentioning another site that lists dear birthmother letters and their parentprofile website that's actually owned by adoption.com. So confusing. How do you know who's who & with what agency or company when they have multiple domain names?
The more I look at stuff on the web about adoption the more glaringly evident how much of a "business" this has become. While I do think we need regulation & laws & professionals to protect everybody involved the marketing stuff is kind of hard for me to swallow. But having said that I guess there needs to be some marketing of sorts to find agencies and information. I don't know if there's an easy answer to this.
So after thinking about all this I asked my husband to put together a message board for us at
www.adoptionboard.org It's a place to talk about adoption and is not affiliated with ANY one agency or website. You can post about any agency you want!
Now I just need my cysters to pass the word along so we can get posting!

If things get busy we may need help with moderating too. Anybody interested?
