What books do you have on adoption, China history, etc?
I have 4 books right now (1 on my computer & 3 other "regular" ones) and I'm wanting more. I'm having issues trying to "convince" Chris that I actually "need";) these books!
I have:
"Daughter from Afar" by Sarah Lynn Woodard
"A Passage to the Heart" by Amy Klatzkin
"Wanting a Daughter, Needing a Son" by Kay Johnson
"The Chinese Adoption Handbook (Adobe E-Book)" by John H. MacLean
On my list still is:
"The Lost Daughters of China" by Karen Evans
"Cross-Cultural Adoption: How to Answer Questions from Family, Friends, and Community" by Amy Coughlin, Caryn Abramowitz, Foreword by Rocky Bleier
"Our Chosen Child: How You Came to Us and the Growing Up Years" by Judith Levy, Judy Pelikan (Illustrator)
"The Nanchang Diary: The Adoption of Victoria Santina Huang He Ping Tartivita" by Carmelo Tartivita
"From China with Love: One Woman's Journey to Motherhood" by Emily Buchanan
"International Adoption Travel Journal" by Mary Ebejer Petertyl
"Fodor's Exploring China" by Christopher Knowles
Not to mention a whole other list for after we get home for my reading and a HUGE list of baby books to get....
So what do you have, what do you wish you had, what do you wish you didn't have, etc? Not only that but all these books I have to keep ordering online b/c I can't find them ANYWHERE!

I must've missed your question along the way!
I never heard of "The Nanchang Diary: The Adoption of Victoria Santina Huang He Ping Tartivita" by Carmelo Tartivita
I must find that book--we met Em in Nanchang so would be a cool link to have.
The books I have are:
Kids Like Me in China
A Passage To the Heart
Raising Adopted Children
The Lost Daughters of China
the Waiting Child
Melanie & Me
I know there are a couple more I just can't find them right now--could've lent them out too.
I am always on the hunt for more books but time escapes me rather quickly lately. And when I do read I fall asleep quite easily so I never find the right time to pick up a book, sadly! ;)
Pretty much anything I have read has been worthwhile. There's nothing I feel like I've missed out on--but when time allows and the kids are a bit older (hence giving me more time at night!) I want to get more into China history and cultural readings.
HTH! :)
ETA: Wanted to add that Emily has a bunch of kid books on China and adoption in general too. I can't list them right now but if you want a list let me know and I'll *try* to remember! lol
