I have a question about adoption

1. can anyone reccomend any agencies in ga- anyone heard about or used Bethany house or covenat care?

2.anyone adopted from the ukraine or russia-can you share your experiences?

3. also- what exactly is a home study? WHAT are they looking for?

Hello !

1. Unfortunately I cannot recommend an agency to you since I live in Canada

2. We adopted from Ukraine June 2003, a healthy 15 month old who is now a raging 2 year old. We were in Ukraine for just under 3 weeks and it took us just 6 months from start to finish.

3. A homestudy is basically a summary of your home life, work life, family life, finances, reasons why you want to adopt and why you have chosen international/domestic, how you have dealt with your infertility issues etc. The person who does your homestudy has regulations they have to abide by when doing the homestudy in order to have it approved. The homestudy people do not want to pick you apart or "fail you" they want to HELP you adopt
