Dna,
Well, open adoption is something that I would want the adoptive family to decide. I am open to it, except for one thing. I am a parent, a teacher, a parenting class director, and have a degree in Childhood Development and another in Education; all that junk means simply that I have very clear ideas on parenting, and knowing my personality, I am afraid I would butt in where I am NOT NEEDED. Can you imagine? Having the birth mother of your child say, *Are you NUTS? That child is THREE and still has a PACIFIER?* LOL I am giving up my child to parents who will be very competent, I am sure, and very much want to give them the chance to do it!
Jaedid55,
I just posted a message for you on your visitor's page because I have not posted enough to send private messages. If you get a chance, take a look.
Thanks!

Amberlyn - whoa... reading your sig is like deja vu, you're situation is basically identical to a girl I talk to on another website ... but her BM's EDD is March 1th.... friggin weird!! lol
Jael - Canada is so much different from the US, and every province being different, I'd say go on a few different adoption websites, join groups (i know yahoo has a few) and see if anyone has been in the same situation, in QB as you... that may be the easiest way to find the info you're looking for..
I sure hope your friend's situation turned out better than ours did!
