Default Advandia vs MET ER (GLUC XR)

I just started taking Avandia, and I see one of the side affects is weight gain, and Im very worried about that and also it doesnt seem that the pregnancy rate on Advandia is a high as Gluco XR.. Has any one ever gotten pregnant by taking either one. I got the Advandia because of the Met gives me really bad bal problems, but I want to take which ever will help me without alot of weight gain..

I got pregnant on gluc . . about 4 months after starting it. This was 3 years ago and now the met has stopped working it seems and I am already on the max dose.

Can't tell you much about the Avandia . . . I'm interested in what others have to say.

I didn't get pregnant on Avandia, but I did have significant improvements in my PCOS symptoms. My doctors made me go off of it when they discovered my liver enzymes were elevated. I did not experience weight gain on it, though I heard this as well. I ended up changing to a low carb diet instead of meds, which worked wonders and I was able to get pregnant (but was also doing fertility treatments) and carry my baby. My advice would be to stick with the Avandia. I do have one friend who took it for PCOS and ended up getting pregnant and carrying her baby to term. She is now pregnant with her second child (within 2 years). I don't know if she is still on the Avandia or not. I didn't ask her, but I assume she is.
