Question Advice??

was diagnosed with PCOS in 2005. I have been on metformin 1000mg 2x day and also on bcp starting in February of 2007 to help regulate periods. Recently got married the first week in March - also the week of last period. Long story short I went to the Dr. on April 15th as I was 2 weeks late. She confirmed I wasn't pregant and gave me an RX for yaz to start immediately. So she said ultrasound showed my lining (she had a scientific name for this) showed I would probably have started my period on my own, and that by giving me Yaz I should start period soon. I did on April 21st.

She also wants us to use an OPK to try to get a grasp on ovulation days ..she seems positive that the Yaz will stimulate me to have periods on my own. We're due to go back in the fall if I ovulate and have periods as normal. My question is will I still get another period during the inactive pills with Yaz - I'm really confused also as to when I should start tracking with the OPK...I took it to mean we should start after I have a period on my own - but my husband seems to think differently. Any help would be appreciated - the more I think about it the more confusing it is to me.
