I was just thinking and throwing ideas around, and was thinking i might set up a website for those with PCOS, maybe with simple language that people will understand rather than all the hard lingo. Do you understand what i mean?
I dont know what do u guys think? I dont know of other ways i could ?
Also anyone know where i could get a free website addy from?? x

You can look in to a service ike bravenet for a fre esite and they have a lot of really cool free tools to create a site. However, there are support sites out there currently that aim to breidge the gap between patients and docs and make the info easily understandable and usable. I think it is great though to put your own spin on things to raise awareness, everyhting helps an I am sure you will get the message out to lots of people. I can help you with some resources if you need help.
All the Best,
Ashley

Because im thinking from my view and culture. Im muslim and the first in my familyto be diagnosed and we never heard of PCOS before. So i thought maybe its time i set up a website or create some sort of awareness. I dont know anyone with PCOS other than people on this website.
Any help or advice would be appreciated x

Consider setting it up as a blog. It will be easier to get traffic thanks to rss feeds. I think that Blogger is a free blog service, and wordpress might offer a free serivce, too.
TypePad isn't free, but you'll have more flexibility with it. I think it's about $4.95 per mo.
If you go with a free service, and you go over your bandwidth, they'll shut you down without notice...no fun. (hence, my avatar...the bandwidth generated by SC is BEYOND huge. I've just spend the better part of 2 days trying to get rid of Yahoo bots sucking all of our bandwith.
I wish I could do this to Yahoo: YAHOO!

lush, are you thinking about making a Muslimah PCOS site? That'd be awesome! I'd totally help out with that - I do web design in my spare time
