Advice needed re pill taking?????

Hi just wondered if you ladies could give me some feedback. Before we were ttc for ds i had been on dianette for four years and i had no probs. So ihad no worries takin it after ds was born. BUt every few months i have irregular bleeding, pains and am v.v emotional. Am due to see the nurse in the next wk or so nd wondered if it was worth changing to another pill?, and if there is another 1 that helps with hair and acne?. (ds is almost three)am stressesed about money and work but surely this cant be the only cause of my probs. Thanks.

i've had a similar problem with Dianette and have posted a message about Dianette/Yasmin. I 'thought' i was OK on Dianette before i took a 12 month break coz i hadnt officially been diagnosed with PCOS but since being back on it my skin is wonderfully clear - better than ever before yet im feeling blue a lot and my boyf says he has deffo seen a change in me. My specialist suggested i may like to try Yasmin so ive been back on Dianette for about 4 months now but am hopefully going to get a prescription next week for Yasmin. Ive read on the internet that this is now being used as an alternative to Dianette for ladies with PCOS, but like you would love to hear from anyone else who has advice etc.

dianette is supposed to be taken for no more than 2years (26-30 cycles). Get liver tests run, coz liver function can be effected.

I found the same with Dianette, green & I was taken off it yesterday and put onto Yasmin. Yes it can be worth changing to another pill, because everyones different, and the effects are different for them too. I'd definetly go see your doctor & get some advice from them. Good luck. ((hugs))
