Well i have completed 2 ycles of yasmin, and finnaly before I start my 3rd pack tomorrow. I got AF tonight. I havent had her in 5 years. Now I got her....I want her to go away!!!!!!! Never thought I would be so happy to have AF. I have my first Endo apt on the 22nd I have my MRI tomorrow to see if I have a pituitary gland tumor. Things seem to be headed in the right direction. Now if i can just lose these pesky pounds.
My thoughts are if i get off the BCP will i not get a period. Can you have a period without ovulating? So many question I have, and the 22nd seems so far away!!!

I stopped taking the pill about 3 months ago. I am still getting AF but my cycle seems to be getting longer. I am hoping it will stay! You can definately get AF without ovulating. I have just bought an ovulation thermometer to start taking my basal body temp to see whether I am ovulating. I am hoping to start TTC early next year, plus I always think it's good to know what's going on. I figure if I ovulate then it's a thing to celebrate for me.
Good luck and make sure you let us know how your appointment goes. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get into see the medicos we needed to when we wanted!

i've been on BCP off and on for the past three or four years and every time i stop taking them, my af stops. this last time i got one more af after i stopped the bcp, though. progress, maybe? probably not since it's been six months again without af.
