Default Af for 3 months! Please Help!

Please tell me that someone out here has advice. I was on 2000 mg of metformin, yasmin, and have a copper iud. I had my met taken down to 1000 mg, 500 at night and in the morning. I was having terrible migraines, and af was very heavy. It's now the end of May and af is still here. To make matters worse, I started to lactate! I stopped breastfeeding over 2 months ago. I'm not pg, so what gives? I feel like pulling my hair out, why does it have to be so difficult to lose weight? I barely have enough energy for home and full courses at school. Now I have to do cardio 40 minutes a day. I called my endo today, and my ob has not responded. I'm thinking about removing the iud and just taking depo. Any suggestions?

I'm so sorry. I had a similar problem to you. Was on Yasmin but also had a copper IUD. Continuous bleeding for 4-5 months, felt totally dead! Had the IUD removed (much quicker and painless than the insertion, so don't worry) and the bleeding stopped straight away! So it was not hormonal, but rather the IUD aggravating my womb too much. Don't look into depo just yet!

Have the IUD removed, you will probably find it stops! xx
