    Angry Af

I've been having my AF since about mid april. For the past week or so its been heavier than normal. I'd still only have to chagne my pad once or twice a day though. Last night I had a bigger than usual blood clot come out. It got so heavy that i leaked through my pants when i was sleeping. I can feel them when they come out. It seems to only happen when i get after an extended period of time. Im scared I dont know whats going on!

hah I'm sorry but your typo of *Bigger* caught me off guard...

I get blod clots all the time. sometimes they're big, sometimes not. I think it's normal depending on how much your lining is shedding.

How long was it before this AF? I went 9 months before AF and when it did come... it was disgusting and heavy and so very icky.

I think it's pretty normal for any clots to come out. If you're too worried though I would suggest asking your dr. about it.

That typo caught me off guard too!! LOL If you are extremely embarrassed you can hit the edit button at the bottom right of your post and fix it before 100 people see it

Anyhow, I agree w/Wiggley, clots are normal, they are really nothing to worry about as far as I know unless you think there is a chance that you may have been pregnant and are having a miscarriage. I get clots a lot too though, sometimes I get more clots than blood. And I also went once 9 months w/out AF and when I finally got it it was also disgusting and icky and gross and horrible like wiggley's and it lasted longer than usual too. But like she said if you are very concerned still then talk w/your dr, especially if you think there is any chance at all that you have been pg and having a m/c. Good luck! Hopefully it'll calm down for ya soon. Maybe it is a good sign though that things are starting to get normalized and you are getting cleaned out like you should and maybe becoming regular Good luck!

P.S. When you say you have been having AF since Mid April, do you mean non stop, or you have been having a "regular" cycle since then??

I've been having it non stop. I mean it would stop for about a week then start up again. Thanks a lot for the support, its just gross and frustrating.

Hmm, have you talked to your dr about it? Maybe they can give you something to stop your periods? I don't really know what. I know they give progesterone to bring on AF, but while you are on it you don't get it until you stop, maybe they could do that w/you and just take it a little longer than most of us? I'm not sure though, just a thought, I don't know if they do that or if it's safe, something to discuss w/the doc though. And maybe someone else can give some suggestions of how to get a long AF to stop?? Good luck, I go for months w/out mine and worry that I don't get it and then when I do I just want it to be over! I can't imagine having it all the time like that, I'm so sorry!
