Default AF after a D&C

Hi ladies!

I had a D&C 2 weeks ago today(Wed). After the D&C I spotted a tiny bit until about Monday of the following week..so about 4 or 5 days. Yesterday I noticed a little red on the toilet paper and a tiny bit of red spotting and thought it could have been b/c DH and I BD the night before. Today I started spotting(brown) a little more. Could this still be related to the D&C or could I be getting ready to start AF?

If you had a D&C, how long did it take for you to get AF? did you have spotting like this on and off for a little while after the D&C?

Thanks!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
Ihad a D&C on Oct. 15th. I blead for about 5 days afterward. But, it would stop and start again. Exactly 6 weeks later AF arrived.
The spotting you are having I would guess is related to the D&C. Although it couls be related to the BDing and maybe you are not completely healed from the D&C yet. I would guess it's too soon for you AF to come.

I too am sorry to hear about your loss.

I had a d&c on November 18th and another one 5 days later. My dr. didn't remove all the tissue the first time. Anyway, I had light bleeding for a few days too. AF arrived 4 1/2 weeks after my second surgery.

I have brown spotting a few days before every AF. Even before my miscarriage. Dr. says it's just a PCOS thing.

God bless you during this time of mourning.

Courtney

I'm not sure when your suppost to have AF after a D&C. I had one done on Dec 9, 2005 at 8 weeks due to no fetal growth or heartbeat. On the 22-25 I had what I believe to have been AF, so that would have only been 13 days after my D&C. I know I bled lightly for about 3-4 days after the D&C, and then would spot lightly when DH and I would BD. But the bleeding from the 22-25 was much like a normal flow for me during an AF. I have an appt with my OB/gyn on Mon and was planning on asking him about it then as I to want to get the TTC process rolling again as soon as possible.
Hugs and Good Luck to You

Thanks for the responses! I have had a little bit of spotting today also but not too much. Like one of you said, maybe I still have not completely healed up from the D&C. DH and I waited for a little over a week before BDing, to allow me to heal.

Betty Jo..I'm anxious to get back to TTC also. My Dr said that once my beta is down to 0, then I'll need an HSG done and possibly evaluate a fibroid I have outside of my uterus. I hope that your Dr gives you the go ahead to TTC again soon!

I'm so sorry for your loss.

My doctor had said that I wouldn't get what was considered a period until after beta numbers reached 0. My numbers were a lot lower than yours and it took about 5-6 weeks for me to get a period. I also bled off and on for about 3 weeks after my procedure, so yours could still be from the d&c.

Hugs.
