I had a D&C after a loss at 10 weeks (baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks.) I O'd exactly 21 days after my D&C without any meds whatsoever, and then AF showed up 11 days after O'ing. So that was a 32-day cycle...

I had two 2nd trimester m/c and both times it took 5 wks for AF to arrive. This time AF loks funny though, it looks sort of brownish and it's very light. No cramps though!!!

when you say "after" are you saying after your hcg hit zero? I m/c'd for 21 days and have had about 5 days since with no spotting so I believe/hope I'm done m/c'ing. I had my betas done today (hoping they're at zero) but haven't heard back yet. Last Monday the ob's nurse called late in the afternoon. (last Monday my hcg was at 41)
I have heard that I shouldn't expect AF for 4 weeks after my hcg hits zero...uuugh...I am so ready to move on out of this m/c cycle.

Magdalena Grace was due on September 3, 2009 but arrived early on June 25, 2009 at just 30 weeks. She was 2 lbs 10 oz at birth, but as of today (7/17) she is 3 lbs 9 oz and doing exceptionally well.
By my calculations, in September I O'd only about a week after my HCG level hit O. My January and March m/c's were more like heavy, clotty AFs and I O'd on CD16 or so in January, right on "schedule" for me. Metformin seems to really help me.

I miscarried at 8 weeks and had a D&C. AF showed up 43 days after the D&C. My hcg levels were really low (related to the m/c, I'm sure), so it didn't take long for my body to get back down to 0.
can you tell by taking a pg test that you hcg levels are low or you are down to 0? I know stupid question. Ha ha> I am currently on my 52 day since d and c and 55 days since miscarrige happened. I have taken so many pg test which is about 2 per week and all are negitive. I still have bloating and cramps. I wonder why I still have them.
Cregger - I am sorry to hear you still have bloating and cramps.
If you visit this website: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html - you will see a list of PG tests listed by sensitivity. So if one of the more sensitive ones turns +, you'll know you still have HCG in your system. At this point, have you considered requesting a beta?
saluki fan- I thank you for answering all my posts and I know I must be a pain. I use the pg test that can tell you up to 4 days before your period. I forgot the name of it now it is at the tip of my tonge type thing. I have to go out and buy some more tommorrow. I did go to that sight that you put in your post and some of those pg test i never heard of. wow I didn't think there were that many. I was thinking about buying some provera on the net. I am also going to start to look for a new ob/gyn. This is driving me so nuts my poor DH is going to have to admit me to the loony bin. LOL I didn't know that having a D and C could screw you up this bad. well thanx for your support. I hope you have an easy time getting pregnant.
It seems we can GET PG pretty easily, I just can't STAY pregnant. Last Tuesday I was diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder (my body thinks the babies are intruders and chokes off its blood supply). I'll have to inject myself with blood thinners on my next pregnancy - and hopefully that will do the trick.
A D&C does mess you up, but I think really it's more the loss that makes the D&C so emotional. I can't speak for anyone else, but I know these losses are the hardest things I've ever been through.
