I don't know if they consider my loss as a miscarriage. I gave birth to my daughter at 20wks. I had my first af may 24th and it feels like its coming again. Should it be that close together or is AF usually all messed up after having a child. Also if doc says three cycles before we can try again, does that count if it comes that close together?? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

I am just now seeing this thread. My thoughts are this... sometimes our bodies are actually healthier after a pregnancy, fertility wise, because our ovaries were at rest during that long stretch. So you might have gotten a bit of a jump start. I would count both cycles, as long as they are somewhat normal for your AF's. My advice is still to wait several months if you possibly can, to get more of your grieving done before the hormones with your next baby kick in. Obviously that is an individual choice, and either way is a very hard road. And again, I absolutely recommend feeling confident in your healthcare team for next time before that next time comes along.
((Hugs))

Sabrina-I am glad you asked this question. I would like to know the answer as well. Also, I just looked at Emerson's website and it is beautiful.

Eme Lou is beautiful, and your site made me cry. She was lucky to have you for a mother, even though she couldn't stay.
I'm sorry, but I don't know about AF. I'm still waiting for her too.

Sabrina, I really don't know.... sorry. I went to Emerson's website a back when you first posted, I too think its a beautiful tribute to a beautiful little girl! **HUGS**
I just started my first period yesterday following my miscarriage. So far the cramps are barely there, the flow is red but not the normal gushing flow and I have none of the other PMS or period things I normally get..... its actually not a miserable period. lol I imagine its from my lining not getting thick? I have no idea!
