Hi all. I got a BFN this month and have my first appt. with the RE on Friday. My AF decided to show up today. Does it matter if I have my AF at the appt? Would it be better if I didn't or is it better that I do????? I guess I should be happy that I got it on my own and don't have to use provera for the third month in a row! Thanks for the input!!!!
I would say it probably wont matter unless he/she is doing a vaginal exam but I would still go and if your doctor needs to do a vaginal exam you can just come back to do that after AF is gone!

Take that PCOS.
♥ Welcome to the world Eleanor Grace ♥
momof2boyz~ It shouldn't be a problem if AF is visiting during your RE appt. Most of them do a CD1 or CD2 transvaginal u/s, so your doc may be glad that you're still early enough in your cycle to check for cysts. Trust me, they are used to AF appts. I know it's a little awkward, but I've been for several CD2 or CD3 exams and it's fine. HTH!

I would actually let them know, so if they need a baseline u/s, you can go ahead and it done, so you don't have to pay for two visits or have to wait until next month.

The same thing happened to me right before my first RE appointment! They had no problem going ahead with a transvag u/s anyway. They said it was good to get a baseline. G/L!

Thank you all for your responses!! I really hope they do the u/s so I don't have to wait another month and can save the money on the appt. Thanks again for the encouragement. I just can't wait for some real answers!!!
Endorcrinologists usually deal with hormones and not so much physical examinations so I would say it will not matter. They look at blood test results and may ask you about symptoms but its not so much physical, that is the gynos job.
If it was a gyno and you were having a pap smear I'd say wait :0)
My appt. was great!!!! He said it was perfect timing because they like to do the base ultrasound on CD1 or CD2 so it couldn't have been better timing. Thank you Lord I was able to have my ultrasound and all of my bloodwork done, except my fasting glucose and insulin tests. I will go for them this week. I feel very positive now that I have a specialist and they are going to move right into treatment. This month marks a year of TTC and this month my new RE has me doing 150 mg of CLomid. YIPEE. Hope this is the month. Thanks for all the input ladies. Good luck to all who are still waiting for RE appts. If you live in the Philadelphia area I have a great one to recommend. BFP's to all.
DaisySue-
I also go to Main Line Fertility. I saw Dr. Glassman for my first appt. and will see Dr Orris(?) for my second appt in a few weeks. Do you like them??? Who do you see?
Momof2Boyz - I saw Dr. Glassman the first couple appointments, but I've seen Dr. Pfeffer the past few. They're both really nice, and I think the nurses are usually great.
