Default AF / Ovulation Question

Ok, I will give you bit of background before I just blurt out the question! lol. Since puberty I had really infrequent AF, once I even went for over a year without one. This remained the same for years, until I went on the pill.

My doctor put me on a pill to help with hair growth, and I was on that same pill for about 6 years. Of course I had regular AF whilst taking the pill, but always assumed that once I would stop taking it, so would the AF. However, I stopped taking it over 12 months ago, and since then have had AF every 31 days without fail. I am not sure if O happens or not, has anyone else had this experience, or anything similar?

Also, when I say that AF was regular like clockwork every 31 days, that was up until this month. I had AF on 08/09 and was due again 09/09, but nothing yet. I have done HPT and got BFN, is it possible that I am just going back to my old pre-pill days?

I havent had teh smae experience or anything but my suggestion is to buy the ovulation test strips??? to see if you ovulated, the ttcers would know so much more about that than I do. As for your wacky periods it is very possible that their going back to teh way they were I dont have any suggestions for taht seeing as I have problems with my own lol

OPKs (Ovulation Predictors) only work before O as they detect the LH surge (the last hormone to peak BEFORE O) The only way to know *for sure* that you're Oing is charting your BBT & it would be too late for this cycle... @ this point the only way to know if you Od would be a P4 blood test.

It is possible you Od later than usual & that would cause AF to come later than normal.

Maybe wait a little longer & if you don't start do another HPT & if it's still -, call your DR. Or call your DR anyway if you are uncomfortable...

HTH! Gook Luck!
