    Cool AF problems..... maybe TMI

    Hi ladies,

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice.....

I have had AF hanging around for about 3 weeks now, but it's not a "proper" AF. Usually, I have 2 days of very heavy bleeding and really bad cramps and then it eases off and is usually gone within 5-7 days. This time round, it has been like a constant heavy discharge but with lots of small clots. It's not enough to wear a tampon, or even a towel, I've just been wearing a panty liner. On top of this, I have been having a lot of pain around my ovaries and some back pain.

It kind of reminds me of breakthrough bleeding, but whenever I have had that, I don't tend to get the pain as well.

Just wondered it anyone else had this problem?

    Thanks for your replies

The spotting has stopped now, but the pain is still there! *sigh*

Steph - Yikes! bursting cysts! Saying that though, as we have so many as cysters, I guess they muct have to burst sometimes! Did your gyno say you needed any treatment or anything?

No my gyno just said that I had a cyst that popped. It was painful but he didn't feel like any kind of treatment or medication was needed.

I would go into your OBGYN or RE and ask for an internal u/s. You could have a large, thick build up of lining. I just had that. (no REAL period for 3 months) and now I am having the period from hell...

I had the same thing you are talking about. Dr just said I wasnt shedding the lining good enough....ugh, i am now...

    Default ME too

I just got over an episode of that. However, my AF was not red at all. It was a very very dark brown and it lasted about three weeks. It never got red and it never got to a full flow.
