Default AF/Provera ?

I have been on 1500/mg of Glucophage for about 6 weeks now and still no AF except brought on by the Provera I took right before starting Gluc. I am now facing the decision of asking my RE for Provera again so I can TTC or waiting it out for the Gluc. to start working for me.
My main problem is that since starting Gluc. I have been craving sweets more than ever before and thats my huge downfall. I am not drastically overweight according to my RE, but she thinks I should lose about 15lbs, but I actually think my sugar cravings are worse than ever before. I really want to TTC asap and the thought of waiting it out is unbearable.

Sometimes it does take a while for gluc to start working. Although I know with my dr he wont give me provera unless it is has been 2 months since my last af. But you are close to that. For me, I would call and get the provera, I am very impatient.

Good luck

I had really wacky periods my first year on met, although i realize now that my diet probably contributed...all thjose insulin spikes probably interfered with the Met. I had cycles up to 63 days a few times that year, interspersed with 30-something day cycles. I was willing to have less frequent periods as long as my free androgen was on it's way down. I knew once that lab got normalized, my periods would be normalized, and after 27 months on met, I have 30-34 day cycles like clockwork.

Have you considered natural progesterone cream instead of the provera? Provera isn't the same as progesterone, and natural cream has none of the side effects, so it would be my preference if I were without periods. Here is one opinion on Provera vs progesterone.

Provera is not progesterone:
