I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not, and I'm hoping some of you ladies might be able to shed some light on this.
I've never gotten af on my own (without provera or bcp) before. On bcp, my cycle was predictable and af lasted about 7-8 days. A month ago, I started on Actos, which also coincided with the end of my last pack of Yasmin. My re said I could quit taking the bcp, as I didn't like how they always made me feel...Actos should regulate my cycle. Anyhow, last Friday I woke up and af had arrived...no big deal, I knew it'd be comin' as my re confirmed that I had ovulated. Here I am now on Monday afternoon, and af is gone...as in, no sign at all? Has this ever happened to anyone else? or is this some kind of joke from mother nature? I'm not complaining, as I could definetely deal with shorter, lighter af, but I just want to be sure this isn't a sign of some other kind of problem (which I really don't need right now.)
Thanks!

I would say that that's a fairly normal AF. AF where bleeding lasts 7 - 8 days is not 'normal,' though many women have AFs like this.
For many women AF consists of bleeding for three days and maybe spotting for one or two.
A shorter AF might indicate that your meds are actually working, as longer AFs (longer than 5 days) are usually indicative that something is wrong or that you're heavy in estrogen.
AF always lasted around 7 days for me too. While I was on BCP's, I would have a couple heavy days and the rest were more of a nuisance. Now that I'm off the BCP and taking met, I've had two 30 day cycles without hormones *Yay Me*, but it still lasted 6 days, but it was actually lighter than when I was on the pill. I thought it was supposed to be lighter and shorter on the pill, but mine is the opposite. For the time being, anyway.

I always thought it was supposed to be lighter and shorter on the pill, that's why I was surprised when it was 3.5 days...I am so glad to know I'm not the only one.
