Question af question? please respond(kinda long)

hi ladies
i am posting because, i was kinda concerned about my cycle. i started my period on saturday dec 30th. ok let my start from the beginning. (WARNING THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES WILL CONTAIN TOO MUCH INFORMATION PLEASE BE ADVISED) saturday af was due no sign of her. i went to the bathroom that afternoon and was using the bathroom no af, i finished washed up and went back into bedroom and was having sex with my husband when we were finished he came back in and said i think you started your period. i assumed i did. the blood was reddish pink and some came out when i used the restroom, and when i wiped myself. It slowed up as the day wore on so i recorded it as spotting because i didn't have to wear a pad. later on about the wee hours of the morning it started up again. i thought it was heavy because i was soaked in the back but it was only because i was lying down and when i am on period it all tends to run towards the back while i am sitting or lying down. ( i have to wear two pads) anyway after i got up that morning it was getting lighter. i until it was just a faint light pink color when i wipe. nothing on the pad. and this has stayed the same through sunday and monday. i still have af symptoms stomach cramps. i was really cramping on sunday but hardly any blood. i feel hot and just ill feeling. sore boobs. i want to know if any of you ladies had any of these symptoms or problems while on your period and if so what was wrong, i am set to start clomid on thursday and i feel like this is not going to be a good cycle because of this messed af i am having. please ladies any advice would be greatly appreciated.
i am on 2000mgs of metformin, my cycles have been steady since august when i started met 1000mgs. just started 2000mgs. in december. do you ladies think this is screwing up my cycle? thanks again ladies i know i can always count on my cysters for advice and guidance.

I had pinkish brown spotting, it turned out to be implantaion bleeding. Take an hpt before starting the clomid, just to make sure.

This sounds more like an early miscarrage to me... the on/off bleeding with heavy cramps, sore breasts, feeling hot/ill. defintaly do a hpt & get straight to the dr as it might be a failed miscarrage. Good luck & best wishes

I would also suggest taking an HPT, or 2, or 10.....okay so I am a bit compulsive.

It could be any number of things from implantation bleeding, just spotting, or early spotting in a pregnancy (which some women do for the first couple of months), or an early miscarriage (which I most certainly hope it is not!).

Let us know how testing goes if you choose to do it!

Take and HPT just to make sure! If that isn't the problem then I probably would consult your doctor as to make sure it isn't something serious! Well, I suppose either way you'll have to consult your doctor. Hope you figure this out! Keep us posted!

Yeah, it sounds like an hpt is in order here, especially if you are scheduled to start clomid. Keeping my fingers crossed!

To me it really does sound like implantation. Mine started as a few streaks of blood in my cervical mucous and then 2 days of pinkish/brownish spotting. I never flowed or anything like that where I had to use a pad, it was there when I wiped and a tiny bit may have gotten onto panties. I would definatly not call this af. So then are you late for af or what? get a frer and test and post back and let us know lol!

Default That's not normal?

Hi, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you too and I hope you are pregnant!

What's wierd to me is that you are describing my AF every time I have it (except maybe the ill feeling, which is sometimes & not others). I only have AF every 2-3 mos and rarely have actual blood, it's always pinkish/brownish/black discharge type goo that is very light. Pantyliners work best for me. So my question is - what the heck is implantation bleeding?

(even this very very faint one LOL) keep everything crossed and i will update tomorrow morning.
good luck to all of my cysters
