It probably means you were having random lining shedding, after anovulation. If you go long enough wo/ovulating, it's common to get "AF"---where the lining just gets too old/thick to sustain itself and comes out. Often it's light, spotty, lasting shorter than a normal period, and many women notice it as dark red/brownish and thick with very little fresh blood. If your doctor told you to take the clomid on CD3 or 5 or whenever, go ahead and do it---the length of the bleed isn't a issue.
