I don't have a heart shaped uterus. But, I tried for the first 6 years of my marriage to conceive, but no such luck. Then I started taking met and lost about 30 lbs and I got pregnant 3 times back to back, but lost all 3 pregnancies. After my 3rd miscarriage and the loss of my father, I stopped caring and ended up putting on tons of weight. I decided in 2008 that i was going to lose weight and try to ttc again when i got under 200lbs. i lost about 100lbs and found myself pregnant again 5 years after my loss. I'm now 5-6 weeks from delivering my son. Please try to get on met and take baby aspirin. I don't know how a heart shaped uterus will affect your efforts to get pregnant. I wish you the best.

Is there anyone out there that can set my mind at ease and give me advice and the weight loss, getting pregnant or both?

Default Milwaukee PCOS here

Hello all -
I see there are a lot of people from Chicago representing. I am in Milwaukee! Having a rough day today, just tired of dealing with all of the crap that comes along with PCOS. Does anyone in Chicago have a doctor and or a dermatologist that they see?

Thanks!

Hello Stilltrying,
I go to Carolina Conceptions on Lake Boone Trl Raleigh, NC. They do have a website and have some pretty good stats and docs. You could possibly try them. Last wk I was presribe met and clomid and to my surprise my AF came yesterday (tmi i know). I am really excited b/c I was not expecting that. I will start the clomid tomorrow so I hope that it works. But, you should definately give them a call. The doc I see is Dr. Couchman and she is pretty good.

I've read success stories on other message boards. Have you tried Googling?

Red face PCOS in Aurora

Hi All,

It's nice to be able to connect with others who deal with similiar issues like me. I have been diagnosed with PCOS for about 8 years now. It's funny that every doctor I have seen has a different method of treatment. Nothing to treat PCOS just the symptoms. I have a feeling there are a lot more out there undiagnosed and wondering what's wrong with them. I have the typical symptoms: weight gain, sleep apena, dandruff. I'm hairy in general so I shave my legs at least 2-3 times per week, I use to get really hairy on my face as well but that has calmed down and I didn't do anything to initiate that. I still get eyebrow waxes though regularly or I have to pluck (ouch!). But now my latest issue has been thinning hair. I was fortunate enough to have a child 15 years ago but have not been able to conceive sense. I'm open to any suggestions outside of Metformin and birth control.

What's the herbal solution?

Signed "PCOS won't stop me"

Lynnett11,

Hello! I know exactly how you feel. I've been married for 14 years and still no baby (1 pregnancy which lead to a miscarriage). It makes your heart so heavy and I've been dealing with it for so long. You have to first pray about it, and then seek professional help. Everyone is different, so you have to find what is the trick for you. What has helped me is Metformin, my period now is every 45-50 days. Therefore for me that is great, because I got no period for years. It had to be induced with BC or medicaton. Send me an email and I can give you some referrals to some doctors in Chicago.

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

I am located in Charlotte, NC. I have PCOS for the last seven years but no doctor officially diagnosed me until last year. I am looking to turn this around so I may have a child before 35. I have been trying since the age of 29.
