It brought me to this one of mine. It may be a lil off topic but it's been on my mind.
I am not sure any of you will admit it but I do and I am not ashamed of it.
I was on the couch and I was picking the lil black thingies on the inside of my legs but I had my long t-shirt on and you couldn't really see what I was dong so my 16 year old asks in disgust MOM what are you doing (thinking it was something else) so I lifted up shirt and said I am picking these and showed her.
Then she comes off and says MOM I can't believe that you are 35 years old and haven't even tried to masterbate. I think I swallowed so hard and my face turned so red!!! I mean NO I haven't done that, but it makes me think what the hell, has she???????????? We talk but only about my experiences that is how she knows I tell ya kids now a days are so imformed so now I am like a virgin compared to my 16 year old. I just never had the urge to do it I wonder why. But as I read EVERYONE on the board has tried it or done it I feel so like an outcast

it is a completley personal thing. some people just aren't comfortable with it, other don't have the need to (ie their DH sorts out their ' ' need!!). Some (religious people) choose not to because it incites in themselves, which they class as wrong. You are you, and we love you!

Thanks sweet but to be honest with you I feel left out. I actually DO NOT HAVE the urge to even try. I have to have a MAN that is the real truth if I don't have that touch I can't achieve.

I think I tried it when I was about 13 or something, I dunno exactly but don't see anything wrong with it, I think it teaches you a fair bit about what you like & how you work etc., err how weird does it feel typing all this lol anyway...yea....that's what I think

Haven't done the alone thing in along time - - Even If I did it takes so darn long 45 mins to get anywhere...if there is a toy involved it still takes me 20 mins Why I have no clue...But yes if you're ansy can't sleep I would recommend it

Its just my opinion, but I think its great that your daughter feels comfortable talking to you about such personal stuff. That means she trusts you enouph to be open about sex. I also want to say it may be a good thing that your daughter is not ashamed of her body and masturbation. She relizes that she can take care of these urges herself and doesn't need a guy for that. Again, its just my opinion.

Seriously, I TOTALLY agree with loreo. You should be proud that your daughter is close enough to you that she can talk about intimate things, and proud that she is willing to take matters into her own hands *hehe* She is more likely to abstain if she can take care of it herself. It will make it easier to avoid risky behavior.
I think that self love is a personal choice, sometimes it never occurs to try, and sometimes you are ravenous. I myself had had ups and downs, and sometimes resort to it.. sometimes many times in a day... but sometimes I go for months. It varies even in the same woman.
I also think that women with PCOS may have a higher drive in general than normals because of the excess male hormone. Testosterone after all is what drives your sexual urges. So there may be more of a prevalence among the cysters... but that is just my own ideas, no hard science behind that.
But do not feel left out, maybe you just like the touch of another better, maybe we should feel left out cause your SO does such a good job *hehe* And for some of us it is a matter of preference. Especially for singles. I mean, would you rather have someone at Taco Bell cooking for you, and have to eat it how they make it? Or would you rather make your own carnitas at home and have them be just the way you like? You know what they say... if you want something done right, do it yourself!
