It's so unfair! why do i have to have pcos!! Im in tears now coz everything u dont want is pcos...
why does pcos make u have alll the bad symptoms? this is like one of the worse things to have..no wonder we get depression...
1.Pcos makes u fat! and hard to lose weight..easy to gain =(
2.It makes u hairy (hirutism)
3.It gives u acne and oily skin
4.It gives u oily hair and dandruff
5.Gives u migraine!! aghh..i hv this all the time since i reached piberty
6.Makes u depressed, stressed
7.You cant smoke coz it will lower your eggs or something like tht
8.U may get cancer, diabetes, heart disease etc...=(
9.You have skin tags and thos black patches
10.You have lots of androgen n testerone n makes u look manly - i have broad shoulders and thick arms *sob*
11.Pcos women have a huge tummy!!esp me!
12.may not get pregnant or else may be hard to fall pregenant...dammmn..
13.Frizzy hair..
14.u can get an Orgasm(well i read that in one of the thread)
15.You get lack concentration coz of this and fatigue all the time..trust me, i ahve slept like the whole day..amost 20 hours!!
16.You cant eat carbs n all those yummy food..
i think the list can go on...but this wat every girl doesnt want..all the girls i know are like prefect..well they dont hv these problems..why me...
PCOS is definitely hard to deal with, but we don't have to let it rule our lives. Meds help many women with symptoms including depression. Through lifestyle changes we can empower ourselves by taking control of what we can. I know it is easier said than done but trying beats getting ourselves down any day! Good luck Look for what IS good in life!

* teaches you the value of a good healthy lifestyle and in the end you will have a better quality of life than your non-pcos friend who smokes, drinks, never exercises and thinks "healthy" means either unappitizing or salad
* teaches you to not judge people so harshly
* it shows you that YES you CAN start to like exercise
* it broadens your recipe books to no end as you scurry for great tasting, blood sugar friendly recipies and FIND THEM
* shows you how wonderful cyster can be in supporting and uplifting each other
* helps you understand that you can't solve everything yourself and that sometimes and endo, gyno, derm and gp are needed
* teaches you patience as you wait and wait and wait and wait for blood tests results, or hair to grow back or hair to go away or your weight to drop
* it shows you the funny side of life as you talk about ttc'ing, RE's and whatnot and see your family looking at you as if you're from another planet
* it makes you appreciate that baby in your arms sooooooo much more as only you and your husband knows how many prayers went up to God
I'm not trying to trifialize (can't spell that!) what you are going through as all of the cysters on this site (myself included) are going through the EXACT same thing. But sometimes it helps to look at the things you get rather than the things you can't get. Don't be mistaken there are days that I feel precisely how you are feeling and then there are days like today when i know that things can only get better ('cause they sure as hell can't get any worse!)

I know exactly how you feel, but I also have to agree with the other cysters. Just keep looking at the good days. You have many women here that will support you in everything you do. Just remember you are not alone and we will all get thru this together.

Thank you sooo much Sophie! It did make me feel a lot better...but i still think of those pcos things...grrr...but i hope ill get there..*sigh*
Thanx for all your support people!
sure it sucks, but thanks anala00 for posting that bcuz at least i know theres someone i can relate to.
does it REALLY make you have the broad shoulders? cos that runs in my family. my mom & aunt have them but theyre small frames. im big w/ broad shoulders.
i heard once that it also does help w/ osteoporosis (spelling?) bcuz ur bone density is higher so ure less likely to get it. i THINK thats what it said if i read it right.
and also when you find a guy, u know its really true love if he can look past ur symptoms, or just not even notice them at all. or PRETEND not to. i think thats the thing im most blessed with when it comes to PCOS.

Honey let me just tell you something. God has created us and if he has "blessed" us with this horrible condition then we have to just grin and go on. I know that there are days that it is hard to keep on going but we are all perfect in our own way hair or no hair pain or no pain you are perfect and beautiful and DON'T EVER let anyone tell you any different. Be strong we will all pull through.

Having PCOS has been a constant struggle... I almost lost everything and gave up... but now I see things differently, we who expirience PCOS develope a great humitlity, once we let go of our anger...then our hopelessness and finally reach acceptance. we become these beautifully complex women, who have struggled, defied societies standards, and proven that women don't need to fill the mold to be beautiful... we then help others to understand this. When we find our strength we inspire all women even those who don't have pcos that beauty thrives in the spirit, it is an essence not a state of being... and true love comes only with humility. I have hated the cards i was delt, but these days in someways I am thankfull, I had to let go of a lot of female hangups and found other ways to validate myself as a woman, and a person my character evolved and developed and for that I am thankful.
Thank you sooo much Sophie! It did make me feel a lot better...but i still think of those pcos things...grrr...but i hope ill get there..*sigh*
