I too am taking Vitex (Agnus Castus) but so far have not had an af.

However, I have had a long af like you are describing. It does happen from time to time with us pcos'ers who don't have regular cycles so our lining builds up and eventually needs to shed. Mine lasted almost 8 weeks and I had to see my dr about meds to make it stop.

I'm with mommy1 on this one. If you typically only have 2 AF's a year, I would expect that AF would be longer than a "normal" AF. If your last AF was light, this one might just be heavier to get rid of everything in there. If the bleeding lasts too long or you're worried about it, I would contact your dr. I never experienced heavy AF's on Vitex, but was also getting AF every 30 - 40 days.

I've taken Vitex before, and I hadn't had a cycle for awhile before that, and I wound up bleeding for a week, which isn't too long. But it was sooooo heavy I almost freaked out. So I agree that maybe you're body is just getting rid of all the extra stuff, but see a dr. if you feel the need to. I've been taking met consistently for a few months now, and I've had regular cycles so far. I will add Vitex soon, so hopfully I won't have that awful period I had before.
