Does anyone know a good doctor in Anchorage-Palmer Alaska area for treating PCOS?

I see an OB/GYN named John DeKeyser, he is wonderful. He knows PCOS and diagnosed me with it the first time I saw him. I know Sugarbug and a couple others see another lady named Joy Zimmerman, she is a nurse practitioner I believe. I have heard nothing but good about her and her partner.

My OB is in the AK Regional medical plaza and Joy is in Providence medical building.

Thank you for your reply! Can you tell me a little about his diagnosis (did he seem very up-to-date, did he do the correct tests, did he suggest the met, has he been monitoring your results with the met?) Does he seem to treat all ages, or just women trying to conceive? (I am 46, periomenopausal)

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you! I missed your post somehow. He is very up to date on treatment. He started me on Glucophage to see if it would start a cycle for me, and then we added clomid since I was activley trying to conceive. He does however treat women of all ages. He ordered the correct tests and has no problems diagnosing this syndrome. He is pretty open to the opinions of his patients also. Very laid back and easy going, not the "I am the doctor and I said so" type. His whole family is wonderful, they are patients at the optometrists office I work at.

Thanks for the reccomendation. I see the folks at Denali OBGYN but I would like to see someone who takes an all around approach, not just in the fertility issues of PCO.
