ok so I was put on Aldactone 100 mg, and for a while my medication tasted and smelled like mint, or speamint. Now the kin I have smells aweful and tastes aweful. I cant really describe it, other than it is terrible.

Anyone else have smelly aldactone or nasty tasting aldactone, or is it just the manufacture being different.

mines tastes a little like mint but it doesnt bother me at all.

take your medication to the pharmacy and let them know what you've noticed, if you left them somewhere really warm or moist it could have affected the medication and spoiled it...they will probably be able to replace them for you...

When I was getting my prescription filled through a mail order pharmacy they alternated between a stinky version and a minty one--it was two different manufacturers, I guess one used an additive to mask the smell. I called and asked for the non-smelly brand but they wouldn't commit to one kind over another.

If you do have any concerns about it being the right med, you should definitely talk to your pharmacist.
