My doctor presecribed aldactone yesterday for my hirituism and elevated testersterone. He said it would also help with further hair loss....here are my questions:

1) does all the body hair come back once you go off of it??? is it a short term fix and a drug you must use indefinitley to keep the testesterone levels down??

2) has anyone stopped using it and still been able to keep the levels down?

3) has it helped anyone with their body hair?

my hope is to take it and then get laser treatments and hopefully that will help the hair from coming back

I am nervous to take it..i must admit..but the depressing realization is that I have hiritusim and it is doing a number to my self esteem..please advise anyone who is taking it and your thoughts on the drug..bad or good

ive been on spiro for about 5 years.
Im still on it, so i dont know about hair once you stop it. Yes, it has helped lots with my body hair. My endo said it takes 9-12 months to get to maximum result.

whenyou say it helped with the body hair, does it come in but not as quickly or is it not even coming in anymore or is it lighter?

how about the hair on your head?? have you seen any growth with it?

I took it for a few months and it worked really well. However, the hair did regrow upon my discontinuation of the medicine. My levels went back after a few months. Hope this helps.
