Alesse vs. Diane 35

Just looking for your thoughts.

I used to take alesse which didn't help with much other than regulating my periods but now 2 weeks into taking Diane 35, i see increadible mood changes.. not depressive but anger and annoyed by a lot of things.. which alesse didn't do. Diane is suppose to help acne but yet my face is just breaking out increadibly.

I understand that its a totally different change in hormone balance thus why all this is happening.

Can anyone guide me... as to how long it will take for these effects to subside? Would it be better to just go back to Alesse 21?

I loved Alesse for the way I felt but my acne and hair returned to 50% their original, which was a drawback for me. I wish I knew of another less androgenic pill that was similar to the alesse. My RE uses it and many women do well with it. Just me I guess. I wanted to add spiro. to it but she preferred just switcing me. I seem to have trouble finding a bc pill that I like plus feel good on!!! I had horrible moods and skin on Yasmin so possibly it is like dianette. Ortho Cyclen has been pretty good for me otherwise. Great hair and skin but a bit too much estrogen. GOod luck. Hopefully someone can give you a better answer. I'll be watching the thread too!

My suggestion is to give Diane 35 some more time, like a couple of months. I used this bcp for almost 7 years. I quit because all of a sudden I got very nauseaous from it, but all these years before I was very happy with it. Looking back I never looked better than then. My skin was fabulous and my (mild) hirutism was diminished by 50%. The only thing that it didn't help with, was hairloss. If it wasn't for the nausea-thing I wouldn't hesitate a second to go back on it.
