Okay ladies, I want so bad to get my hair cut but Im also scared of the hairdresser noticing my shaving habits, I've had this happen once before when I got my hair cut an the lady that did it just gave me the wierdest look ever! was soo upset afterwords. I'm not one to wear makeup but I think in this case today I kinda have to? what do u ladies think? any ideas on what I could maybe say before hand so she isnt so shocked?

I get my hair cut from a wonderful woman (who shaves and I never knew it). We discussed PCOS (she has fertility issues and excess hair but is thin) and I think she also has PCOS.
I think you need to find someone who helps you but also doesn't make you feel weird...I would actually go without make-up and see what response I got. That and the haircut would tell me if I'd go back. Good luck and go in with the attitude that you are paying for a service and your are the boss. Don't let anyone tell you how you should feel.....stay strong, Cyster.

First of all, there is nothing to be ashamed of. Some women have PCOS and don't even know it and deal with the hair issue all alone. Don't worry about what she may say...who knows, she may be dealing with the same issue. I go to a man to get my hair cut and he has never said anything about my hairy face issue. I told him about it a month ago and he totally understood. Matter of fact, he offered suggestions. Maybe you can bring it up and ask for suggestions on how to deal with it. She may have the same problem and does something we haven't even tried. Good luck and relax and enjoy your visit to the hairdresser.

Well girls I just got back from the solon an they did a great job! didnt even say or ask about the hair! she even threw in a free eye brow threading! WOOHOO! I feel silly now for worrying about it

I shave as well. Just the chin where i seem to get it most.My sister is a esthetician(sp) She told me to do it. She gives facials and waxes. She told me that its easier then waxing. And she was right. When i go in to get my haircut and eyebrows waxed by someone else i have 2 ladies i let cut my hair.. I told them i do that the one said me to.
