Default Alk Phos Elevated ...

I've been on Glucophage before and never had elevated anything ...

After some research, it looks like Alk Phos (on my Comp Meta Panel) means something to do with the liver. The range is 38-126 and mine is 136.

My doctor was doing routine tests because he thinks I might have fibromyalgia. He also gave me a new script for Glucophage, but now I'm worried about this test result. I haven't talked to my doctor yet ... I just got these results.

Does anyone know anything about this?

ETA: Should also mention that I haven't been on Glucophage since about 2 months post partum and my son is 11 months ... so about 9 months.

One reason for elevated liver enzymes is fatty liver, which can result from insulin resistance. Insulin sensitizing meds such as Met can actually help reverse fatty liver. There is a sticky at the top of the page about fatty liver, met, and insulin resistance you might want to take a look at.

Liver enzymes can be elevated for all sorts of other reasons, so you do need to discuss this with your doc.
