For all faiths Ladies,
I'm 18 and have been out of high school for barely 10 months. I was just diagnosed with PCOS yesterday! I had been hearing about PCOS and wondered if I had it. I made an appointment to see a gynocologist ASAP and asked her. Considering how long I've had my symptoms, I think I've had PCOS for the last 3 years. Irregular periods, abnormal hair growth, acne, weight gain, and I did have depression for about a year during high school.
I know many women aren't prepared to learn that they have PCOS. Thankfully, we all take the initiative to educate ourselves. My boyfriend once asked, "Do you love yo'self? (in his gangsta tone). Cuz how can you love me, if you don't even love yo'self?" So I said that I did, but I was a little unsure. As soon as I found out yesterday that I did have PCOS, that's when I realized how much I love myself. I love myself enough to lose the excess weight and pretty much change my life style. I never really prayed until recently. I see my PCOS as a test from God. He heard me claim that I love myself, and he knew I was unsure when I said it. He doesn't want me to prove how much I love myself to my boyfriend...Or my friends...Or family. He wants me to prove it to myself. LADIES: We need to be greatful that PCOS is something we can CONTROL. It is not fatal if we take care of ourselves. Whomever you worship, whether it be Allah, God, or Buddha, (sorry if I misspelled anything), etc. would never give you something you could not handle. How much do you care about yourself? |
