I just thought I would post and rant a little about my hair issues. I guess I'm sorta lucky that I dont have hair growing in the places some of you girls do but having the hair issues on the face is enough to want to scream. I cant hardly stand the pain of tweezing my eyebrows I know that I couldnt tweez all the hair that grows on my upper lip and chin. I use either Nair hair remover or the Sally Hensens cream just about everyday to remove the unsightly hair from my face..and even then I can still tell I dont look right. Well today I left the cream on too long and its burning like crazy. I just wish there was a magic pill we could take to make our hair issues go away. God bless y'all

I have to agree with you...ALL THIS HAIR DRIVES ME BANANAS!!! I use the same method as you do Mustangsally, either Nair hair remover or Sally Hensens hair remover. Today I went to get my nails done and I decided to try waxing, just to see the difference. You know what? Out of the hundreds of hairs that are on my face I swear only like 5 came out!!! Why won't these facial hairs leave me ALONE!!! Why was it so tough for the rest of hair to come out? If anyone has a clue to why or what I can do for a more successful waxing process please let me know.
Same here hun the hair is a pain in the butt and it really gets to me at times sick of the burning sensation after shaving and my skin becoming more sensitive the more I shave my chin area.
I know how you feel about the waxing same with me tried it once and hardly any came out think it is because my hair is very thick grrr.

A real expert at waxing will get more of it out than someone who isn't so expert, but there comes a point at which the hair growth can be so strong that waxing simply won't remove most of it. By that time. if there's been repeated waxing, the root may have been distorted by repeated waxing and electrolysis may be impracticable, though in your case that wouldn't be so and electrolysis may be an option as, if you're dark-haired and light-skinned, may laser. In my opinion, though, the simple, sure-fire way of dealing with coarse, bristly facial hair is an electric razor designed for the face -- i.e. a men's type. For finer hair, other methods should work ok.
If you go to a salon where they use hot wax make sure they use a clean stick you dont know where those sticks have been. I seen a segment on Tyra Banks show the other day they were talking about women getting waxed with dirty applicator sticks and the women ended up getting full blown herpes.. think about it they wax someones bikini line and then they keep sticking the same stick in the wax . thats all we need on top of PCOS is herpes flair ups around our mouths... yuck!!!!!!!

That is gross, you really have to be careful in those salons.
I had the same issue with regards to waxing, only a few hairs would come out. I used hair remover creams but, my skin couldn't take using them everyday. I would apply the cream and my face would bleed. There were so many hairs that tweezing was not an option. So, I started shaving. Shaving came with it's own probems, mostly stubble and ingrown hairs.
I finally started having electrolysis. It works!!! It has given me confidence. I can now hold my head high and not be afraid of someone seeing the hair under my chin.
