Thank you ladies for your encouraging comments. I think everything stems from personal study. If you don't do it, it makes everything so much harder to focus on.
Well I'm excited about the new changes they announced! At first I was taken back but the reasons they gave are good. We share our congregation with the ASL group in part of So. Cal, and they have to travel quite a distance to their Sunday/Saturday meetings and book studies. So i can understand, with the costs of gas out of control being one of the reasons they're doing this. Our loving Governing body looking out for us!

codie - i am so very very sorry about your sister... its really horrible to hear but you all need to stick together and look after each other during this difficult time, especiallly with little one on the way my sister got baptized last year at 21 and within about 2 weeks she was showing signs of not following throuhg on her dedication. she got her belly button pierced, started hanging out with work colleagues and 2 weeks ago she moved out to live with a girl from work and says shes not ready for the truth!! WHY did she get baptised then, i just dont know. i know that everyones situations are different, but Codi will be thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.
Jehovah really does understand how hard it is for us in this time of the end, and this provision is amazing. it will be SO strange to begin with but i can see the benefits.
Love to all

My Mood: Points: 9,536.91 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 9,536.91 | So I finally told one of my closest friends that we are moving. She is not accepting it well right now. I feel so bad for having to move right now. We really need to help each other out. It's been hard for both of us to make it in service so we had just came out with a plan to help each other w/ the kids. Her DD is my DD's age and she has a almost 2 year old DS. Everything is so hard economically I don't see another way, but she balances books and stuff for a living so she wants to see if there is anything else that we can do. I guess I'll be going over that this weekend.
Today, I finally was able to study my Revelation book in one sitting from the begining to the end. I forgot how important it is to study ahead of time w/ LO's. It helped me be able to just pick up no matter what I missed. I only had Haillee tonight. Dh had Seb at home. I walked in the door at 7:12 and walked out the house at 7:24. I had to get going b/c DD had something at school this evening. For some reason we had a small crowd at the meeting but it was still a good study.
I have to pump and rest my head.
Night.
Erika

Helen~ I'm sorry about your sister as well. However, I do want to point out that piercing is a conscience matter, so it's really not an indicator of someone's spiritual state. I have a few friends who are Regular Pioneers who have their belly buttons pierced. I personally see it no differently than ear piercing. But that's my own opinion and I know many others don't share it.
Feeling pretty crappily today. I'm so sick and tired of being so darn fat and not really being able to do much about it. I'm at the point that I'm considering weight loss surgery, even though DH doesn't want me to do it and wouldn't give his blessing if I decided to. But I'm at the end of my rope.

I can see having your ears pierced as normal (for a girl) because it's jewelry.
But having your belly button pierced, tongue, lip, nose, etc..looks worldy. And what's the point of having it pierced? So others can see it. Do those reg. pioneers go around with it covered up? Or do they wear their clothing so you can see it?
I think it's the principle behind it. Same with men and beards (in the U.S)

My Mood: Points: 3,690.01 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,690.01 | I have to agree with Chloe.
I dont see the point if no ones going to see it. With my sister it was the beginning of her rebellious side.
What i was tyring to say with my sister is that it was the attitude behind the piercing.. as in i want it so ill have it and i dont care if it stumbles others... In England.. its not really a good thing to do. And it was a turning point in her attitude. thats really what i was trying to say. And it was the influence that her worldly friends were having on her.
So.. anyway .. thats it really
Hope you all have a good day x

I think it's the principle behind it. Same with men and beards (in the U.S) | One of them covers it up. She had it done for her husband's enjoyment. The other is my SIL (DH's sis) and in Hawaii the sisters wear bikini's so people do see it on the beach. It's not a big deal, really.
On the beard thing, there was a brother in our congregation in Vermont who had one and handled mics and everything and my dad was jealous because he wanted to grow his and in his congregation in Massachusetts, it was frowned on lol.
But on the piercing thing, I see it as just jewelry as well...no different than ears, IMO.

I still have it.. DH likes it. And no one ever sees it. I don't think 1/2 the people I know think I even have it now. I guess when I wear a swimsuit peope would see it, but that doesn't happen too often. I did it not to show it off or for other people to see it, it's just cuz I honestly just wanted it for myself. I think it for some reason makes my stomach more toned, don't ask me how. Anyways.. I understand what all of you think and I did get it at a weaker time for me spiritually. But I still have it now and I'm doing way better. I dunno if I'll try to keep it in throughout pregnancy or not..

It is a coinscience matter and I wouldn't show others if I got it done but it would be somthing basically to improve how I felt sexier about myself and for my DH mostly. In my old hall in MD I knew 4 ppl who had it. 3 of which were pioneers. Granted I know it was frowned upon by some but If i don't show it then I won't stumble others... So anyways, thats all.

♥ becca ♥ | I'm the same....I do plan on getting one when I lose my weight (or maybe even before) just because it will make me feel sexier.

Whoo Hoo! I love my hair now. I had her save my hiar that she cut. I have to think of something cooky to do with it that will freak DH out. I love playing tricks on him. I told DD to keep it a secret until he comes home. Talk request from a blabbing 9 year old girl.
OK. I'm solo all until Monday. Some way I'll do it. I'll get DD to school on time, take the twins to the sitter, and still make it to work at a decent time. (Not!) I'll try though.

We had our CO visit last week and let me tell you, it was just what i needed. And then the special announcement.. wow, just proof that the governing body is preparing for the end that will soon be here. It was just an eye opening week, really made me dig deep and realize that i have been slacking in my service. So for the past two weeks we have been really making an effort to read the bible daily as a family and also i've been working on my personal study. Anyway, i feel like i'm getting back on track
well that's it for now, have a great weekend. I'll try to post more often.
