DH & I read this article together and thought it was interesting ...
Is Contraception Morally Wrong?
Nowhere does the Bible command Christians to procreate. God told the first human couple and Noah's family: "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth." But the commands was not repeated to Christians. Hence, married couples may decide for themselves whether they will raise a family, how many children they will have, and when they will have then. The Scriptures, likewise, do not condemn birth control. From a Biblical point of view, then whether a husband and wife choose to use some nonabortive method of contraception is really a personal decision.
Sexual relations between husband and wife are God-give gift. But procreation is not their sole purpose. Sexual relations also allow a married couple to express tenderness and affection for each other. So if a couple should decide to exclude the possibility of a pregnancy by using some form of contraception, that is their choice to make, and no one should judge them. Romans 14:4, 10-13

Chloe - Sorry you have not been feeling well! Thankfully you are off for several days so you can get some rest.
Marcie - Thanks for posting the article!
Thankfully this week is over! I don't go back to work until Tue. In the morning we have to get up very early because we have to pick mom up at 7:30. We are driving to Luray VA for my mom's family reunion. Dad....."the lucky dog" got out of going this year because he has the talk Sunday morning and he has to go over it tomorrow. Dad does anything to get out of going to the reunion I had a special request this year for my chocolate cake. The last time I made it my grandmother and I were competing with who could make the best cake. My platter was empty by the time it was over I sure do miss having her around
I hope everyone is doing well!
I'll try to ck in again soon.
Goodnight all.
Oh ya...I wanted to mention....I forwarded those link to my mom and dad. They were glad they got to see them because now they have a better understanding of what we are really dealing with when it comes to TTC.

Thanks for posting that Marcie...in light of the new info, I really shouldn't have gotten the IUD. Older articles bascially said it was a conscience matter, and I did know of a few sisters who got them. Basically, no one knows exactly how the copper IUD works, but the speculations are that they block sperm, make the uterine environment hostile to sperm, and thicken the lining to prevent implantation. The BCP also has a "backup" method which is abortive. So I think tubes tied is the way to go for me lol. It's non-abortive lol.
Well, last night the power went out at about 5:30...and didn't come back on until about 2am. We had some major thunderstorms. DH and I had a nice time talking and we both found out some things we didn't know. Apparently, DH's sister thinks I got PG on purpose...that I'm psychotic and pulled out my own IUD (OUCH!). She said I focus so much on pregnancy that she thinks that's what I did and that DH should ask me (he did, by the way...when we first found out I was PG, he asked in a round-about way if I did it on purpose). Um, hello? I'm a DOULA! Of course I focus on pregnancy! DUH! It's my career for crying out loud. And I've helped her and given her so much advice during her PG and I was supposed to doula for her, but she chose some worldly woman and now I know why. She wouldn't have even HIRED a doula had I not told her what they are and what they do for mom in labor. Also, DH's mom and his sister have told him I shared "very personal" sexual information with them...which I NEVER have! Telling them that DD was conceived because we didn't use a condom one time is not what I consider very personal...I mean, they asked if I was on BCP's and everything, so I answered and cured their curiosity. MIL is the one who gives me the gory details of HER sex life, and SIL has told me things I really didn't need to know about her DH's size and drive. I mean, who's sharing personal info? When I first married DH, SIL called and wanted details as to what we do to make it enjoyable...basically "Tell me what my brother does to you". I didn't tell her...as a matter of fact, I told her I couldn't help her on that. So, needless to say, today hasn't been very pleasant. I can't confront SIL about it because she doesn't know I know...she told DH to keep it confidential. So now I have to sit and stew on it. I wondered why she chose someone else as her doula, and why she doesn't e-mail or call me anymore...Oh well. I'm at the point where I really don't care. She and her mother are apparently birds of a feather, so let em flock together...I hope they'll be very happy making others miserable.
Marcie~ YOU'RE GOING TO KONA!!! If you wanna know the places to go, let me know! I LIVED there!
Ducky~ Welcome back! Sorry your maternity leave is ending...it must be hard to leave your DD.
Kelly~ Welcome! And thanks for honoring us with your first post! I hope you find the fellowship and support you're looking for here!
Helen~ You're cousin-in-law sounds great. My little BIL is coming on the tenth for like 2 weeks. He'll be bunking with some of the friends and hanging out with us some. He's a good kid...he grew up in a pile of poop and came out smelling like a rose. He's 17, will be 18 in September. His mom (the aforementioned MIL) and dad are moving back to Hawaii and leaving him in Vermont in his own apartment. He has his own window cleaning business and stuff, and is doing well, but I'm worried for him. We're going to try to make monthly visits, as the only family he'll have is his gossipy worldly family.

Had an excellent morning out in service, got some new calls, etc. How was everyone else's morning? I hope tremendous! I'm in am awesome mood wish I could stay feeling this way. Our meetings shifted to 10 am as per the C.O. so we would have better mtg attendance. He thinks more of our studies will come if is at 10 instead of 4, I think I have to agree with him on that one. Some of the friends invited us for dinner st 5:30 so I am off to take a nap. Let's pray no one disturbs me ... when pigs fly ... ha ha.
