Ooooh....I love baked mac and cheese My grandmother used to make the best!! I try to make it but it tastes nothing like her's used to.
It's finally Saturday It's been a very long week here at work. I get off at 1:30 today. My goal is to clean the house today. DH will probably mow. We have not had to mow in several weeks because it has not rained but now it's needing it.
Have a good Sat all

I'm going to attempt to make potatoe salad this afternoon. I've never made it before. Hopefully it will taste like something since I can't put celery or onion in it because DH can't stand those 2 things. Maybe I'll use cucumber instead. He loves that. Hum...wonder how that would taste?
I wish I had more time to put towards cooking. I seem to only cook fast meals and they just aren't as good.

I don't know what your diets are, but here is an excellent recipe that is little prep time and worth the wait to cook it.
CROCKPOT TACOS
1 Chuck Roast
2 Green Bell peppers, seeded and diced
1 White onion, diced
1 Can Mexican Style Diced Tomatoes
1 Jar Salsa
Put everything in crockpot in order above (chuck roast first, bell peppers next, etc.) Cook on high 7 hrs. In my opinion, making the taco shells yourself tastes better. I just buy white corn tortillas, fry them up in oil and shape them into shells so they are kinda soft but hard enough to keep shape.
Top with Sour cream and Shredded Mexican style cheese. It's the BEST!

Chloe that recipe sounds divine! I love crock pot recipes!! Yummo! Glad you got the a/c fixed!
Had my ultrasound yesterday. Everything is good. ONE LITTLE BEAN IN THERE! So I'm glad of that! They had a hard time counting the heartrate because the heart is the size of a poppy seed right now, so really hard to see. But I did hear it, and it was just like DS's and DD's, so no worries. The pic they gave me looks like a seahorse lol. They couldn't get any really clear ones because Speckle is just so tiny right now (size of an apple seed), so I'll have to wait. I'm looking forward to my big ultrasound and I hope this baby is not like DS was...little bugger hid the goods until 38 weeks!! DD was flashing the world at both of my big ultrasounds, so it was pretty clear she was a girl. Can't mistake the hamburger bun on its side! lol
Well, DH and I studied the WT for tomorrow. GREAT article on the resurrection! Now we're going to watch The Devil Wears Prada (he loves that movie lol).
Night all!

Need your help ~ What color should I paint my kitchen?
Chloe - Thanks for the recipe. It sounds great! I'm going to try that soon.
Kerri - I'm glad to hear things are going well with the pregnancy! Keep us posted.
Let me give a little idea of the colors already in our house. I'm really having a hard time deciding what color we should paint the kitchen! Since we are getting it ready to sell I don't know what I should do. The color that's in the kitchen now has no name but ugly (it's between a peach and cream). We have oak cabinets, beige marble looking counter tops, white sink we still need to install. We will be putting in a beige ceramic tile in the next couple of months. The rest of the home is beige other than the bathroom (which is 1 wall sage other walls white) and 1 bedroom (wainscoting is white and the top part of the wall is a country blue). We will be painting the other bedroom white because it's in the back of the house and it's normally darker back there so we thought it would be better to paint over the beige that's already in there only white to make it look bigger.
So what color do you think we should paint the kitchen? I had thought maybe a very light yellow or should I keep the beige theme running into the kitchen from the living room? You can see straight into the kitchen from the living room. Our house is very small!! 2 bedrooms 1 bath. It's only 970 SQ FT.
Give me some ideas...PLEASE!!!
We are making an offer on the land this week We've never done this before so I'm getting a little nervouse! We just know that if they accept our offer (if not we will offer again only more) we will need to move fast. We plan to have DH's parents come from Holland in Oct or Nov to help us to get these things done before we put it on the market. If any of you ladies would like to make have a vacation in Williamsburg that would be great

Steph - i would stick with the color you have now as long as it's in good shape. Neutral colors are best when selling your home. Have you ever seen Designed to Sell on HGTV? You'll get a lot of good pointers watching that.

I had a really long post and DH closed the window on me before I could send it...GRR!
In short:
Steph~ I would go with neural or earth tones. If the counters are beige marble, go with the darker color running through them.
DS is making leaps and bounds in the communication department. No words yet, but definite effort to communicate his needs and wants. DD is overtired and won't go to sleep. GRR. I'm eating a nice healthy dinner of chicken nuggets and Ramen noodles lol.
Well, I have some work I have to do for DH tonight, so I have to get going...otherwise I would have retyped my entire post, which was HUGE!

Been a long weekend, kids are both finally down to sleep. Sorry I don't have time for personals, but I have to get a few things done while I have some peace and quiet. I promise to check in tomorrow. Until then I hope everyone is well. Have a wonderful day!
P.S. We got a bit of a break from our heat wave today, it was only in the late 80's to early 90's. Much better then the 100 degree weather we have been having.
