Brother Joseph DeSilva was serving as a ministerial servent in the West Tiverton, RI congregation. He went missing on March 10.
TIVERTON, R.I. (WPRI) - The family of 52-year-old Joseph DeSilva is worrying and waiting, as another day passes without any sign of him. He went missing over two days ago.
DeSilva, a food distributor, was last seen Tuesday morning at Peter's Package Store in Fall River. He was then scheduled to make a stop in New Bedford, but never arrived.
His wife and daughter say they got concerned when he did not come home Tuesday night.
"I find it unusual because he didn't call me," says his wife, Kelly DeSilva. "He calls me every day at 4:30."
"We always have family time at 7:00 Tuesday nights," says his daughter Kristen. "He wouldn't miss that without calling."
DeSilva's family and friends have plastered hundreds of flyers around the area. They have also checked his bank and credit card accounts. His family tells Eyewitness News they are convinced he needs help.
"He carries alot of money, because of his job," says Kell DeSilva. "We've worried that someone could have been watching him, and looking for a chance to rob him."
"My gut tells me he is out there somewhere hurt," says Kristen DeSilva. "It's a though I can't even think about.
Joseph DeSilva was last seen driving a late-model black Ford Taurus wth Massachusetts license plate 81DE33. Anyone with information is asked to call Tiverton police.
Oh no!!!!!! That's horrible!!!!! I really hope they can find him

Our attendance last night was 149, and we only have around 90 publishers. DD was so much better than I expected. Now that she is into everything I had visions of her reaching and making me spill the wine! But, she sat good as gold.

We have 186 publishers and our attendance was 307! I couldn't believe it. We got there 45 min early and there were only about 5 seats left in the main hall. The talk was wonderful.
I hope everyone is doing well! I'm enjoying my spring break. We had gone to Santa Ana last weekend with DH's sister and her husband. We are really close to them. We went bike riding and to the beach. Did some shopping and had a good bbq. It was fun and relaxing!

We had a good turn out at our memorial. We normally have over 300 and this year it was 325. What helps us though is that we live in a tourist trap so we have lots of visiting friends on vacation that attend every year. The seats went very fast! It turned out very nice.
My mom and I went away to the mountians this past weekend. We had a great time! We got to see some family that is up in age and spend some time with my uncle and aunt. We did lots of shopping too. I bought a new quilt and set of sheets from TJ Maxx. I love that store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in the city this week. DH had a course so I went in to do any "final" shopping for the baby and I had another Dr's appointment. I had another ultrasound that they called me back in for. I was all worried that they wanted another one but it wasn't anything so thats good. And, the Dr mentioned - I told you about a hysterectomy right? Noooo, he hadn't. Well, he has agreed to do the surgery bloodlessly but if there are complications and they can not give me blood they may have to do a hysterectomy. I'm sure that was the risk last time, I just didn't know about it because it was an emergency. I guess you are better off having all the facts. Just more to worry about though. I do tend to be a worrier.
Stephanie, I was going to mention, have you heard of Dunstan baby language? When DD was around a month old she was on Oprah and showed how you can know by their crys what is wrong, up until 3 months old. It really worked for us, saved a lot of headache trying to figure out what is wrong.

Well, we had a water issue in our house last week. So, now my house is all torn up and won't be back togeather before the baby is born. Only 3 weeks left. What awful timeing My bedroom will need the floor replaced, the drywall repaired and painted, the hallway and laundry room the same and my floors all through the kitchen, dining room and front enterance. I had such trouble BF'ing last time and needed the suplemental nursing system - how am I going to use that contraption while there are workers all over my house!
Cora Lyne - Sorry to hear about your house!!! Do you have a free room in your house left that the workers won't need to go in to? I hope things can get back to normal before the baby comes. Are you having a C-sec? If not then maybe your little one will wait till everything is done

Yeah, I'm having a C-sec on the 26th of this month. So, they have at least scheduled all the flooring to be repaced while I'm in the hospital. The girls room doesn't have to be done or the office so I can move my rocking chair into one of those rooms for a bit. But at least it's DH's company doing the work so I know the workers.
We've come up with a new plan for the convention this year. Our convention is at a coloseium and has an attendance of around 8000 ppl. We usually take the LRT train system and there is tons of walking and I didn't know how we were going to manage with me only being able to lift only the baby. But, there is another one the same weekend, a few hours further away but it is around the size of a curcuit assembly with way less ppl and walking distances. So, we asked our niece to come with us to help out and we are going to try that one instead. Hopefully it works out OK.

Cora Lyne - The 26th will be here before you know it How's the house coming along?
We're at my parents this weekend. Their out of town for several nights so DH is taking care of all the animals. 15 chickens, a dog and a cat.
We had our all day Lamaze class today. It went very well! DH amazed me during! I was worried that he might not do everything I need him to do during labor but after today I feel totally confident in him being able to help me They had us all practicing breathing and all the DH's had to try as well. My DH looked at me and told me I needed to work on the breathing...LOL What a stinker! He had the breathing down pat..LOL!!

Isn't it nice when our DH's surprise us like that? Sometimes I think I don't give mine enough credit . Good thing he has got it down for you because you might be too distracted to remember!
My house is no closer to being done unfortunately. All my floors are ripped up with just the subfloor showing and I don't feel like I can clean my house because everywhere I look there is clutter from boxes of contents being moved from one room to the next. The clutter is stressing me out. MIL suggested today that we get the bassinet ready but I have to clean the girls room to fit it for now. I feel like I have so much work to do so that they can move my furniture out of the way to do the floors, and I only have a week. I'm starting to stress about it, but I'm going to ask my mom to come help. It's my last week of "freedom" - well, nights of uninterupted sleep anyway. Not that they are uninterupted, but I get to go right back to bed after my trips to the bathroom. I remember with DD when I would get up with her I would fall asleep in the rocking chair while I was feeding her and we would sleep for half the night there. My bed is much more comfy. But, I will be relieved to have my bladder back to myself!

Hi, I've been home since Friday but have not had a chance to check in. Sydney Morgan was born 11:25 am on the 26th. The C-section went well, the anistisiologist (sp?) was really good. He had a talk with me before the procedure and warned me of the "small" risk of death and asked if I was willing to risk it. I said yes, but would of course want any other measures taken & he was fine with it.
So far she sleeps A LOT - during the day, not so much at night. But, she is like my first DD, doesn't want to be put down while she is sleeping. So, I get to sleep in the rocking chair holding her. I have a serious case of numb bum - but it is so worth it, it won't last for long and it feels so good to have them sleep cuddled up on you And new babies smell so good - until you start using lotions and stuff, then it goes away so I haven't used anything but water up until now.
Steph - how are you feeling? Your almost there yourself! I'm so exited for you

Hello sisters,
It's been a while since i posted. How is everyone doing?
Everything here is good, just hectic. We had our District Convention this past weekend. Wow! There is something about this one that really lets us know how close we are to the end. We are also getting ready for our CO visit in 2weeks. This is the last visit from the current C.O but unfortunately he won't be able to make it, so I'm sad we won't get to see them. I'm also a little nervous because i have a part tonight, but hopefully it'll be ok
Well, hope to hear from ya soon. Hugs!
