We're leaving for our convention tomorrow morning. I'm so excited!
My friend Valine just had her baby. My sister in law is about ready to pop any second. Everyone is having babies right now! Steph, how are you doing??
I'm on my summer break from work. It's so nice. I plan to get a lot of service time in this summer. We are also going to Oklahoma in August for seldom worked territory. I can't wait!

Well, let me just say, the international convention was the most amazing convention ever! Brother Geoffrey Jackson, a member of the governing body came to speak, and he is so funny! He did the last talk everyday of the convention, with an interpreter from each language (Tagalog, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.) We had representatives from 68 different countries. I can't even begin to describe the feeling and the closeness to Jehovah I feel now! We have met so many brothers and sisters from different countries. Each group game with gifts for the new brothers and sisters they were to meet. We brought a ton of different flavored fudge to give away.
I really wish I knew how to upload a video up onto here. Yesterday, the last day, my husband and I were in the lobby of the convention center walking around and there was a small group singing kingdom melodies. We walked over and watched, then we started singing. Then before we knew it, there were at least 100 people singing kingdom melodies in the lobby. We sang about 7 songs? It was extremely emotional. Our brotherhood is so important. I feel so much closer to our organization than I ever have before. And I'm not one to give anything away about the conventions, so let me know if you have gone yet!
I was at the one in Long Beach, California btw. June 18-21st.

What an amazing experience that must be! I really wish i had applied to go to one of the International conventions this year, a lot of brothers n sisters from my area were invited. Two pioneers from my congregation are going to the one in Hawaii in November, and so is my friend from Japan. Then i have another friend that's going to Rome and another one to Africa. Then a family that i know was going to Peru, but they won't be able to make it. Maybe next time i'll be able to go if this system is still here

Ok...I know I posted a reply on this thread the other day but who knows what I did since I don't see it anymore...LOL!!
Chloe - I so wish I could have been there!!!! We had wanted to go to an international convention this year but I guess it's good we didn't do it DH's mom and dad were suppose to go to the one in Germany this year but I doubt they will make that one since their coming for the birth.
I'm still hanging in here. Ready to have my body back...LOL!!! I never thought I'd get tired of being pregnant like all the other preggy ladies would say......not the case for me....I'm so over it. I'll try to keep you all updated a little more since I'm getting towards the end now. I'm ready for my little man to be here

Luca Allen Maarten was born 6/28/09 at 3:29am. Friday my blood pressure sky rocketed after being totally normal the entire pregnancy. I started vomiting Friday night and got a horrible headache. The Dr had me come to the hospital and found protein in my urine....500mgs and my pressure was 189 over 116. He said.....your having your baby today :o So I was induced a couple hours later. He weighed in at 5lbs 15ozs 18inches. He's doing great with breastfeeding I'll post a picture soon for you all to see.

Wow my nephew and your baby were born the same day, within a couple hours of each other! He was born at 12:17 a.m pacific time...so you both gave birth around the same time.
My friend Valene who also had her baby about 3 weeks ago...had a completely normal pregnancy until her blood pressure sky rocketed and they had to do an emergency c section on her.
So how does it feel to be a mommy???

Ok, well i miss my spiritual cysters! I wish you all would come back and post...something.
I made a drs appt and went today. I wrote a list down of all the things I wanted her to know. Keep in mind that I have been to the dr. once in the past ten yrs.
She was pretty good. She listened to all of my concerns. Now, since I bleed almost all the time, she said she could only do a pap if i wasn't bleeding, as it would be more accurate. I have never heard a obgyn or any dr say that! I told her that would be hard, but i would try! =/
So, i am having an ultrasound done on the 21st...and blood tests done on Monday for my LH and FSH and thyroid. Finally! I told her I want to get pg and she said ok.
Oh yea, I am now taking Femaprin (the best form of Vitex available) and will be starting D-Chiro-Inositol in Sep when i go back to work. I am so excited to finally have the ball rolling.

Sorry it's taken me so long to post pictures!! We have family here right now from Holland and with a new baby things are very busy. Luca is doing very well He is now 6lbs. He's sleeping very well at night. I'm getting 4 hours between feedings at night. He wakes up only once usually for feeding at night. I'm very thankful for that!!!! He's really been a good baby and really only cries when he needs something. The breastfeeding is going really well too. I'm so happy about that! I have to say I was a little nervous about that but it's really turned out to be something that I enjoy. It's so sweet to see him sucking away.
I'm sorry these pictures are so big....I'm really not good at posting pictures.

My sister in law's neice is pregnant. She just found out that the baby has no brain at all, but is technically alive. She will have to carry it to term obviously because she can't abort the baby. I feel so extremely bad for her. I cannot imagine.

Chloe - How did your ultrasound go? What is your Dr going to do to try to help you get pregnant? Have you been to an RE yet?
Ok well ultrasounds are really uncomfortable. I thought i had a full bladder going into it, but she said i didn't. so i had to drink a LOT more water. Now i know what a full bladder is! She let me look at the pictures after the u/s. I know what polycystic ovaries look like on an u/s so i wanted to see if i could see them, but i didn't. What i did see was my uterus and what looked like a small blurry mass in it. Obviously she couldn't answer my questions.
So she says my dr. will have my results within the week. But i won't know anything until my appt. on the tenth. I also have high cholesterol. =/

OMG Steph! I got teary eyed looking at Luca's pics. He's beautiful! I know how long you waited to be a mommy, I'm so happy for you!! Congrats
Chloe- I'm so sorry about your sister in law's niece. That's so sad.
I know what you mean about ultrasounds.. I hope you are able to get some answers and help from your dr, please keep us updated.
