Not sure what happened to the other one so thought I'd try starting afresh.

Marcie wanted you all to know that her she had her surgery yesterday and she is doing well. She'll post when she's feeling up to it.
I really enjoyed the Watchtower study on Sunday. The part about Anxiety was wonderful.....something I need to work on! Since I've gotten my BFP I've had some anxiety. From what I've read that's totally normal. I think it's really hit home that things will be changing soon. I'm just trying to do what we learned on Sunday.....Throw your burdens on Jehovah.

prettygurl....it would probably have been a good idea for her to explain her reasons better. There are many alternatives to blood transfusions that are available to people now. We choose those if our conscious allows us to do so. If you have more questions, you can go to the official website of Jehovah's Witnesses at www.watchtower.org.

Hi Prettygurl, first off, thanks for coming to ask us!! As Chloe says, it's a good idea to check out our website. And it's no longer a "blood or death" option as she pointed out we have a huge range of alternative (and safer) options. If however it came down to it then yes we would choose to not have a blood transfusion. We believe in the resurrection that will occur after Armageddon into a wonderful paradise and would not want to jeopardise that opportunity by going against God's commandments (Acts 15:29; Lev. 17:10) just to have a few more years in this system of things (IF the transfusion even works that is.....). We are NOT a suicide or extremist religion and have over the years taken many steps to enable us to receive high quality health care & surgeries without compromising our faith. Hope this helps Please feel free to ask any more questions you may have.

Yep ladies...that's right....a BFP I'm battleing M/S right now. I feel like puking all day long It's been really difficult to eat anything. I can tell I've lost weight because I'm really only able to get down a can of soup and maybe a couple other bites of food a day. Although yesterday I had a meeting out of town so I was not able to pack my lunch. So I hit Burger King...I know...not good. But let me tell you......that's the most I've been able to eat since Sunday. It was pretty darn good!!! LOL We went for our 1st ultrasound on Monday. There's 1 baby with a very strong heartbeat. We are still in shock considering we have been trying for 4 1/2 years now.
Last night we got our new flyer for the new meeting schedule. They look so nice! Jehovah was really looking out for us to make this new arrangement.

At this stage Steph, you eat what you can manage and don't worry too much about it. If you can manage a sports drink like Gatorade/Powerade that has electrolytes in it it will help keep you going even if there are no solids going in, keep it cool and have little sips regularly. If you're not throwing up at the moment then you may want to try ginger - biscuits, beer, ale (absolutely NOT recommended if you are vomitting (personal experience...)), that and one of the mints can help settle your stomach, I'll check which one as I know the essential essence of one mint is not safe during pregnancy so I'll let you know. Eating it however is a different story... Yay on the ultrasound! Even through all the U/S I had with Tyla and feeling her move in me and the big tummy and giving birth and everything, it still took a while after she was born for it to really sink in that she's here, she's mine and someone's not coming to take her away!!! lol so don't worry about that, just take it easy and enjoy!!!
Love
Caroline

I really enjoyed the Watchtower study yesterday! I'm going to miss the bookstudy so much!!! We are going to have a dinner on the last Tue night of our bookstudy. I also think we're going to get together once in a while for a meal maybe.
M/S has been bad!!!!! I've also been having a real problem with Diareahh. Nothing was staying in yesterday. This morning I was having some really bad dry heaves. DH was about to walk out the door when I was hanging over the toilet. He came and asked if I was pregnant or something He asks me that everytime I get sick. Caroline...I had no idea that I was not suppose to eat mints. I'll stop eating those NOW. I'm going to get some gatorade. My SIL was telling me that same thing so now that I've heard it from another person it must really work. I'm going to have to run by the store on my way home. This Friday is my 1st OB appt. It's with an office that I left several years ago because I didn't really care for the nurse prac. there. She's the one I have to meet with on Friday. I told DH he would have to come with me because I didn't want to deal with that lady alone. I hope it goes ok!!

My sister-in-law is going into the end of her first trimester of pregnancy, and she cannot stop throwing up. She even pulled a muscle in her neck from doing it so much. The doctor just said to take tylenol and put a warm compress on the muscle to soothe it. Did I read correctly that you should drink Gatorade to help with M/S?
Also, I was just offered the Librarian position at one of the local elementary schools here, in the best district! I am so overwhelmed and excited. I will have summers off to auxilary and I won't have to deal with Valentines day and Mother's Day any longer. woohoo!
Hope everyone is well!

Chloe - I feel bad for your SIL I could not imagine throwing up so much. So far I've managed to only do that 2 times. However I'm sick all day long. I can't wait for this to pass.
Congrats on the new job!!! It sounds very exciting. It will be so nice to have the summers off. It sounds like Jehovah is looking out for you.
I can't believe we only have 3 more bookstudies to go. I think the bookstudy is starting to notice that somethings wrong with me. We are not telling anyone till 12 weeks. A sister just came into my job and told me she could tell I had not been feeling well lately. I missed last weeks bookstudy because of being so sick. For some reason the evenings are the worst time for me.
