Cora~ We had someone rip the last campaign tract right in one of the sister's face! Just took it and tore it right in two and looked at her defiantly like "Now what are you gonna do?"....

Steph~ Hope everything is going okay with DH's GM...keep us posted!!

I'm leaving for Massachusetts in the morning, so I'll be gone for a week...I hope things stay uneventful for everyone!!!

Haven't had too much happen to me lately, but, I remember when my oldest son was younger, he was paired with an older sister, and my DH and I were together. They were about 3 houses away from us, when I hear this door slam. When I realized that a man had slammed the door in my (then) 5 year old's face, you don't know how hard we were praying to Jehovah to help us keep on walking (in the other direction)!

Hello everyone

DH's grandmother is not doing well. He may need to make a quick trip over. We are planning on going in Sept but he may need to go now as well. She has no use of her right side. She can't eat, talk or control her bowels. His grandfather is not doing good either. He's so upset! She has been taking full care of him since he had both of his legs removed about 3 years ago. He's upset about her and upset about maybe having to be put in a nursing home. There is no way she will ever be able to take care of him again. The Dr's are very worried that she will have another stroke. DH was telling me that in Holland it's very common to put older family in a nursing home at some point. I guess it's done faster there then here. I told him that I wish his family would consider taking care of him. She on the other hand will need 24 hour care. It just makes me sad to think about it.

So we are keeping in touch with family to find out what needs to be done. It's hard when you live so far away!!!

Nisha - I can't imagin what you must have felt for your DS. When stuff happens I tell my DH that Jehovah is teaching us long suffering & self control.

Cora and Steph: I just told DS that it wasn't him the man was slamming the door on, it was Jehovah. But, there are plenty of other "sheep" who are waiting for Jehovah's people to come knocking on their doors. He seemed to understand, even at that young age.

Just got home from ours. We had 290 attend. No partakers.

I also just talked to mom and dad and they said a little boy took off with some of the bread and the brother could hardly get it away from him

Very cute.

Ours was at 9 PM. 265 attendees. I think quite a few from our congregation went to the earlier one.

The girls looked adorable!!
We had 133 at our memorial a 16 person increase over last year, we also had 3 people come from town who had just gotten the invitation so that was encouraging! One was deaf so my aunt got to inturpret for him. She was very nervous, but she did wonderfully! It's now snowing like mad here today so I'm just glad it held off so we didnt have to deal with it last night!

Holland, I'm doing OK.

I was all worried about what to do with DD during the memorial. She is at the reaching and grabbing for everything stage. I am always a bit nervous I'm going to spill the wine! DH held her while they were passing the emblems so she couldn't reach anything.

That's funny. I was talking to a brother last night after the meeting. He and his wife have 2 little ones. The little boy is not yet 2 but close to it. He said that when he saw the wine coming he looked down at his son and said ( give daddy a big hug ). So the little boy through his hands around his dad and never saw the wine coming
