I figure that rather than happening upon each other we could get to know who's out there. However please review your KM's esp. 11/99, 7/00, 9/02.
This thread is also for anyone with questions about our beliefs, to either post them here or visit the official website of the worldwide organisation of Jehovah's Witnesses at www.watchtower.org
We are a united organization throughout the world and so you'll find the same answers from anyone of us in any country
So they scheduled my arm surgery for September 18th. In addition the other surge9n has noted that I qualify and will be sending in a letter to my insurance for a decision for my WLS.

I am reminiscing from Saturday about three simple words that my surgeon said. 'I BELIEVE YOU' ... some thing I have never heard from a doctor. I am so excited to finally found a doctor that believes in me. She said that she did not need proof of my past attempts as she knows that know one would enter in a decision to do surgery unless it was their last option.
I feel so content and hope some journey continues to be the same!!!

Wow I can't believe it's been so long since I posted. I have been reading some of the posts and kind of catching up.
Codi - You're foster babies are sooo cute! Are you looking to Fost/Adopt? This may be a personal question, but, how have you prepared yourself to handle the fact that these children may be returned to their biological parents? As you know, we were in the process to Fost/Adopt, but some things have slowed the process (grrr) and I always wonder what would happen if we became attached (sp?) and then they were taken away? I'm so scared of that.
Anyway, I'm doing well. I've been working hard to get into one of the elementary school districts here. The pay is outstanding, the benefits are great, and it would be clerical work. I am up for Library Media Clerk (librarian,) School Clerk, and Clerk Typist. My testing is next Wednesday. I really want one of these jobs! It would enable me to easily Aux Pioneer and work my way up to reg. pioneer because it's part time. Plus the summers off. Or if it's a year round school i get into..then it's three months off during the year. So..we'll see!
The first adoption agency we had gone to, failed to mention to us that they didn't work with couples in our city...so she referred us to two agencies that did. Well it turns out that one of them made you take mandatory classes that taught Judeo/Christian principles that include a "Triune God." So we said nooo. And the other one actually did not work with our city. So now we are on the search again, but cannot find one. We do not want to work with the county, but might have to.
I am on a routine of Vitex, Multi-vitamin, Saw Palmetto, Dong Quai, and Cinnamon. The only changes I have seen are that I have much more energy now, but my periods are still heavy and frequent. Has anyone tried D-chiro-inositol? It's very expensive, and I want to know if it's worth it.
That's just a little update on me. I really need to get to bed!
Hope everyone is well!

Chloe- Oh yeah.. I know that they will be returned to their parents. That is the point of foster care. Providing a nice, safe, stable TEMPORARY home until the parents can get them back. We don't have a foster to adopt program. But alot of kids that come into care, parents are not able to get them back and after a year end up losing their rights, then the children are adoptable. It's also free to adopt them.

Well I have a pre-op appointment on the 16th and then surgery on the 18th to have my right ulnar shortened. I can't stand the pain any longer and they said it will only get worse. Dr. Machado (my WLS surgeon) said it was fine to have this done first. Then she will just make sure all of my blood work is ok before she schedules the RNY.
It will be an out-patient procedure of which involve me going home in a soft cast for about ten days. Then I will be able to do pretty much as a please well without lifting anything over ten pounds. My mom will be here so the girls will be taken care of.

Hello everyone,
We have just returned from the DC and isn't it FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just the boost I was needing, DH and I have implemented changes already and are feeling really positive about drawing closer to Jehovah and each other and also becoming more involved within the congregation.... so it's all GOOD. We have such a loving Father to give us what we need, just when we need it.
My computer is patu (i.e. slack) and it takes forever to get on here, but I will persevere and hopefully be more regularly in touch.
Just as a side note: Saffy is now 1 and I've been talking to schools about pre-enrolling Tyla for next Sept..... it's too fast..... too soon.......
Love you all
Caroline

My brother and sister in law are currently studying Jehovah's witness and i just have a couple of questions . What does it mean to be a Jehovah's Witness? Is it true that Jehovah's Witnessess believe that only a certain number will go to heaven ?
If you go to www.watchtower.org, this is the Official Website of Jehovah's Witnesses. You can read all about what the Bible teaches on there.
In the Bible, Jehovah teaches us that we will have a chance to live forever on a paradise Earth. The way he had originally intended it. Psalms 37:29 says, "The righteous themselves will posses the Earth, and they will reside forever upon it." This is obviously talking about the future since none of us live forever now.
Revelation 21:3,4 says, "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
The Bible does also teach that only a certain number go to heaven, which are God's anointed ones. But the rest of those who God finds in favor will have a chance to live forever on Earth.
(Revelation 14: 3,4: And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth.)
Hope this helps!

Thanks for asking!! Jehovah is God's personal name and we are His witnesses in that we witness (give evidence) about His Word and purpose for mankind. For us, it means regularly meeting together (to worship, increase our spiritual knowledge and associate with each other), sharing the good news with our neighbours and living our lives according to Bible standards. We are all imperfect, however and don't always make the grade but we love Jehovah and each other like a big family and continue to strive for Bible truth.
I was baptised in 2002 - I was brought up Anglican, and made a lot of changes in my life which concerned my family at first -no birthdays, Christmas, no blood being the main ones. Since then they have been able to see that it's not "all or nothing" and there are very positive alternatives to what we had known before. I now have 2 girls and we have "family days" throughout the year (plus various kid's party -just because), we celebrate wedding anniversaries and there are many alternative (and better for you) options to a blood transfusion. So this has helped to put their minds at ease.
Once again, thanks for asking As they progress with their study, you may find they want to do things differently than what you're used to and while they're adjusting it may be "all or nothing", but together you too can find alternatives.
Feel free to ask any more questions, as Chloe said you could also visit our website. But I appreciate sometimes it's easier to have someone answer than just research and it's nice to feel "anonymous", so there's no pressure
Hope this helps
Caroline

Pretty- I agree with what the other girls have said... but you should ask your brother and sister in law these questions. I am sure that they would love to share what they are learning with you.

Hi ladies. I've had quite a week. I was off for a week so took the time to do the liver cleans that my accupunturist wanted me to do. It was awful! I had to not eat anything and drink 2 x 8 oz glases of organic apple juice from 8 am to 8 pm for 2 days. On the second day at 8:30 pm I had to drink 1/2 cup of olive oil followed by fresh squeezed lemon juice then lay on my right side all night. Other than the fact that I was hungry for 2 days - 1/2 cup of olive oil is no fun, soooo gross I didn't think I had that strong of a gag reflex but oh my. Don't want to have to do that again. I did lose 6 lbs though, but gained 3 back.
I am so anxious - I had a VERY faint line on my HPT this morning. I went for blood work today but won't get the results until Thursday. I also had another accupunture appointment today and she felt some spot on my ankle and said I probably was, and from the strength of my pulse it's probably a boy. Who knows if they can really tell from that though. DH doesn't believe it. I was all set to start injectibles next month so here's hoping I don't have too.
Leslie - please don't tell your mom!

I don't have to do injectibles! The blood test was positive! I am so exited, but I'm about to burst because we don't want to tell anyone yet. I go for an ultrasound Oct 16th (so they know how many there are )
