What type of razor do you use? I am using the Mach 3 Turbo Power (or something like that). I was using the Mach Fusion (the newest Gillette invention) but the razors are insanely expensive. TIA

I'm using a men's Shick Quattro. Apparently there's a women's version out now, but I like my manly black razor more than bright pink or whatever they came out with for us.
Razors certainly are expensive, but I guess I consider it worthwhile. Of course, I only see my boyfriend every week or two (we live in different cities), so especially now in the winter I can go about two weeks without shaving my legs if I really want to, and only spending a minute on my facial hair and armpit hair every day...so thankfully I'm spending less money on them now!

I reckon that if I've got male-type facial hair it makes sense to use a razor designed for men -- it's designed to cope with the sort of growth that I have. My moustache is no different from dh's moustache. It's not a few soft hairs on my uppper lip, it's a moustache. What grows on my chin is coarse beard growth. If I try to imagine it's anything else I just deceive myself. And if I try to keep it under control with something that's not designed for the job, I needn't expect it to be successful at the job. I use a razor designed for a man because I know that then it'll be up to the job of dealing with my moustache and beard growth. At the same time I'm very happy that my Norelco is quiet and fits easily into my purse so I can use it away from home and other women don't have to know that I shave like a man does. The strange thing is that it's the women I'm afraid of finding out. All the men who know I shave have been really nice about it.
My moustache isn't really problematic--i probably could pluck the hairs but I have a short attention span and I'm sure I'd be bored outta my mind by the third strand *lol* Now my beard--That's a totally different story--I use schick quattro for woman and I love my pink razor--even though it's for shaving my beard, it's still pink and feminine *lol* ok...maybe not--But I agree-razors are definitely expensive...I buy my cartridges on ebay--I got a lot of 24 for 20.00
Never even thought about buying cartridges on ebay! Wow! What a great idea! Thanks
Girl yes, I LOVE ebay...Tho I spend tons of money, I SAVE even more--I got my clear blue easy monitor off there with a three month supply of test strips for 115 bucks shipped...The monitor ALONE sells for 150 bucks on amazon...So yeah, I definitely recommend buying on ebay--I do believe the cartridges I got cost like 17.00 dollars for a set of 8 in the stores here--I got a set of 24 for 3 dollars more...I'm thinking I should be a professional shopper *lol*
I use a Norelco Speed XL (for men). It's not quiet but I only use it at my home, so no big deal there. The face situation is getting better and better. Been using the Norelco since August of 2006. I just wish it could get the teeny tiny almost microscopic little stubbly things. I want so feel smooth when rubbing my hand all over my face. LOL I'm waiting for THAT day. lol

honestly, the best razors for me are the gillette good news ones (NOT the Plus ones -- just the regular ones), and they are DIRT CHEAP! I dont use them on my legs (too much razor burn) but for those other areas, they really do seem to be the best, at least for me! On my legs, the Venus seems to work the best....
