Oh, my goodness! I am at work, hoping that my boss won't come in.. that made me cry & now my eyes are swollen & my nose is red and runny! But, it is definitely worth it... that was so touching & beautiful!
I was given the link to this thread, and was really touched by the poem. When I read that poem it really got me thinking, so I emailed the Hallmark company, and put the poem at the bottom. (By the way, does anyone know who wrote it? I put it as "Author Unknown", but whomever wrote it deserves a lot of credit) Here is what I wrote:
To Whom it may Concern;
Should you not be the person for whom this e-mail is intended, or if you are unable to assist me with my request, please be kind enough to let me know, as well as to forward it to someone who may be able to assist me, should oyu know of anyone who can.
As is shown in the following, we who have had the unfortune to lose a pregnancy, an infant, or a child are mothers, too. Why do you fail to recognize us as well on Mother's Day, or fail to recognize October 15th (Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day) altogether?
You are willing to print sympathy cards, Mother's Day cards, and cards for any thing else you can possibly imagine, so why ignore a whole other market that needs the support, love, and recognition of the general public? Perhaps this is something that you would be willing to consider.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
M.C.
Here was the reply, less than an hour later:
Dear M.C.,
Thank you so much for sending this email. Although you are right, that
this is not the right email address, I will forward onto to the right one
here at the company. Thanks for the suggestion and the poem. I'll see that
the right person gets it.
