Question allergic reaction to sugar?

I've noticed the last two times I've gone off my sugar free diet to splurge on a dessert nd within the next two days I wake up in the night with a good number of acne cysts on my jawline. the hurt, burn and itch so much it wakes me up. Could it really be the sugar making me have such a reaction or just coincidence?

Working on getting to my "ideal" weight. Approach: no sugar and weight training. Right now the symptoms of PCOS are being managed by 1500mg of Metformin and Seasonique birth control. My acne is gone (Praise God!) and I feel great as long as I stay away from sugar and dairy (darn metformin).

I break out from potatoes ( since i have eliminated them my face looks the best it has in years) so i can only assume that yes its that making you have a reaction.

A friend of mine breaks out the day after eating anything with chocolate in it. Every time, without fail.

So it's definitely possible....

Hi There,
I just wanted to let you know that food allergies can cause acne breakouts. When my sister eats eggs and milk products she breaks out painfully. I get it when I eat eggs but not as bad as she does. She gets where they are like cysts. Anyway, she found out by using an elimination diet - one month elimiating every thing with milk and eggs then the next corn, etc.
